This channel has been a lifesaver for me. I recently bought a Royal 660-8 GIII and anytime I need to learn something about it, I come here. I've been having trouble putting 2 cans in one column, which isn't detrimental since I don't have that much product to warrant it, but I'm wondering if it's something I have to program in the settings or if I'm just not doing it right 😅

You probably have the product depth set wrong. You must set this by selection, NOT by Column. So if your first selection is Coke, and you have them 2-deep, you must set selection 1 to 2. Based on your Space to Sales setting, selection 1 might vend from multiple columns. Once you set product depth for a selection, it applies that setting to all columns that are associated with that selection. So check your product depth settings.

Very informative...but I ALWAYS have tops of every can facing to the back of machine.. So I can see the dates on the bottom....never had a jam and I've been doing it longer than I care to mention 😉

Whatever works for you...however the manufacturer recommends the machine to be filled in this fashion....especially with bottles.

Evening, Awesome video! I have a question might be silly but on the machine you restocking in the video, what will be the best way to test it to make sure your product comes out and will not get stuck? I have a 448-8 and struggling to get a manual so just going with what I think is best and watching videos similar to the machine I have. des it have a test function to test each slot?

Sometimes I just grab some change from the coin bin and do some test vends. Then you are testing the coin mech at the same time. It does have a test vend mode though.

Be sure to set the selection to 1-deep for water bottles. That is in the Sdep setting (set depth). You set depth per selection, not per column. So if your waters are selection 1, set depth for selection 1 to 1, for 1 deep.

I have yet to purchase a bottle drop machine, so I can't speak with experience in regards to this issue. I do see lots of discussions about bottle drop machines on the vendiscuss.net forum so you should check that out. I do know those machines work best when the cups and eproms are updated to the most recent version. You may also have a gate issue. Post a question on the vendiscuss.net forum and I'm sure someone will give you some good advice.

Hello, I appreciate your videos, they are very helpful! I recently purchased a Royal 660-9 and everything looks good except that the back row dispenses two drinks instead of one. They are 12oz and it is set for 2 columns, any idea what the problem might be? I am struggling :(

You probably set your product depth wrong. It gets set per selection...not per column. So if selection 8 in your machine has cans...make sure selection 8 is set to 2 deep. If it's not that make sure the side product stop is in the narrow setting.

Totally off topic but what brand of bill acceptor does the royal G3 need ? I have one and my bill acceptor and my coin mech busted .

They are MDB so any MDB BA acceptor should work. I like the MEI 2000 series.

How do you reset the sold out error after its filled up the colom is full but still saids sold out I have royal 660/9

The sold out display should reset once you open the door of the vending machine. If it is not resetting, you may have a bad door switch. It is an easy repair, just order a new switch from royal.

Hey Bill great channel, I had a question about about 660-13 Giii Part 1 Which product/591 ml bottles have you loaded in this machine without the bottles getting stuck, part 2, if you haven’t used 591ml bottles what is the larger bottle you’ve tried and vended successfully in this machine. 591ml is about 20 ounces...which should vend fine. I have only vended 20 ounce or 16.5 ounce bottles in my machines. The 20 ounce bottles vend best...but if I don't stack too many, I can vend the 16.5 ounce bottles too.

The rear or front stops? The rear stops have holes to put your fingers in and you pull the latches inward. You can then move the stop forward or backward. I move the top, then the bottom since it is hard to do all four latches at once. Just make sure you count the holes and make sure the top and bottom are in the same holes. The front stops just lift up and go in and out of slots.

Actually, with cans it really doesn't mater since the top and bottom of the cans is the same. It is REALLY important with bottles because the cap will migrate toward the center divider if you put it in the wrong way and it will hang up and jam the column. It is just good practice to put all your product in the same direction so that you get use to loading your machine properly regardless of whether you are loading cans or bottles.

Pepsi have 6 button each size of vending, and the middle have little scream , bill Shelter and coin change close by items whole. Now I can’t see because my vision lost

Hi, Bill. So I was only able to get the Royal....which is fine. The machine is in our garage so it is pretty warm here in Miami. Starting temperature is 92° once plugged in. I filled up drinks about 65% capacity. 3 hours later the temperature is now at 76°....and stays at that point. Compressor runs for about 30 seconds and does turn off to maintain said temperature. What are your thoughts? Thank you. -- Matthew

It shouldn't take too long for the machine to get into the 60s. I guess that's why the machine was so cheap...it is not cooling. If you're lucky, you can get someone to come out and put a tap on the cooling deck and fill the refrigerant...that's what the problem sounds like.

@@HappyVending Understood, Bill. Perhaps the thermostat just needs to be set since it maintains the 79 mark? I'll research the manual and see what I can maybe figure out. Seems that when I did a test before purchase, the temperature had gone into the low 60s. I just didn't have enough time during lunch to stay for complete cycle. That's why I'm wondering the thermostat has gone bad. Nonetheless, will also check with a tech to see about freon level. Thank you for all your help, as always, to me and other viewers. I was able to navigate through the settings menu and found the temperature is set at 35. I moved it to 37 because I though with it being in a hot garage, much condensation would build up. However, I believe after reading manual troubleshooting, it seems the sensor, wiring, or similar may be a place to begin as far as repairs. Still going for the freon level to get checked once I can locate a refrigeration tech for machines.

Do you mean when you're looking in the machine? Some vendors label which drinks belong in each column inside the machine. I just know the Space-To-Sales of my machines so I know what to put where.

Some machines had 12 selection buttons, but coke would prefer you to have multiple columns of their most popular drinks, coke and diet coke.

If it vends during the school day, it needs to be under 50 calories per serving. That's federal regulation.

@@teamalanmountjoy3244 The flavor strips pull out pretty easy. If you have trouble, use a pair of tweezers. On a Dixie machine, you can pull out the entire piece of plastic that holds the labels and switch them out in a flash.
