You know what might have sounded wild? Would be to do an echo that fades out and comes rushing back in kind of distorted before he says his next line after the gap. Almost like he is yelling back at himself thru the echo after it fades out and it has an awakening effect. Be interesting to see you try seems like a great sample for it just because of these quiet gaps.
