Peter and Dawn - Nice Job! I looks like a strimmer would come in handy with some of those random canal moorings. Thanks for speeding up the video during all the sanding, which seems to take forever when you are in the midst of it. Dawn, you are a Great help! Peter, you seemed to have inherited that handy Yorkshireman talent for tackling virtually any project that comes along, that and using KZbin to research the project before diving in. I am guessing your boat is at least 25 years old from the number of coats of paint that are sanding off. I wish you both the best!
@WingingItBoatingonaBudget6 ай бұрын
We 'think the boat was built originally in the 80's and its last major overall was almost 10 years ago, so the paintwork certainly has a few stories to tell. In reality that day we did around 8 hours work and I guess 6 hours of that was sanding, so I speeded up the bits we showed and missed out a LOT of it altogether. It wouldn't make for good viewing at all!
@billharris68866 ай бұрын
@@WingingItBoatingonaBudget Thanks Peter for the history on your boat, it looks to be in reasonably good condition in the video. Yes, your video length of sanding was just about right. Watching sanding is typically in the same category as watching paint dry.

@@kazmorley5175 we haven’t used the expensive paint brush yet - we got it for when we do the top coats. But pretty much all the boat painters use that brush or a similar one.
