You did an excellent job! I live in Canada. Our family shovels by hand still, and we always get upset when we have cleared the driveway and the snowplow comes and loads the snow from the road onto the driveway! It is hard work to clear it again. You have done well! I wish we had you here!
@Sargy18MPBDE11 ай бұрын
Agreed. I always shovel the end of my driveway to across the street for that very reason in order to lesson the snowplow pile I know is coming. Makes a big difference. I always shovel by hand, too. I love it. But I just do my home and some neighbors. Nothing professional.
@butterfly533411 ай бұрын
@@Sargy18MPBDE that works well for you, unfortunately not for us. We have neighbours across and to the left and right. We are all in the same boat. The only solution is to shovel everything onto our lawn. Oh well, at least we still get winter! I shall not complain! 😅😅😅

This is SO fascinating to watch! I’ve never lived where it snows so have absolutely no concept of how much work y’all have to go through to remove it continuously. Much applause for all of you! Fill, your video was so satisfying to watch. The systematic and detailed way you cleared it all, even going so far as to help all the neighbors to get their mail more safely. And I think you handled the upset lady quite well…she just didn’t understand you were trying to help their community. Blessings and safety to you! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Look! Fill's mowing snow, lol. That snow shovel bucket attachment looked pretty cool, tbh. Did a thorough job and got a lot of wet snow scraped off easily that would otherwise cause a lot of backaches if done manually. As far as the lady coming out, she has every right to ask her questions if that was her property. You never know, she might experience water issues or something. At the same time you have to put the snow somewhere. Chalk it up to a learning experience, I suppose.

Hey Fill! Great job, despite what the neighbor is going on about. I don't know if this is the case in CdA, but in many municipalities, it's illegal to push snow into the street; it has to stay in your own yard and that includes when clearing the gutter. Nice little rig! Looking forward to seeing how the rest of your kit works out for you. I live about 140mi SE of you. That storm is supposed to start later tonight and we are expecting to get as much at 6" over the next 24hrs with lows below zero over the next 5 days. 🌨🥶🌨🥶🌨🥶🌨Stay warm out there!

Fill, I knew once you did a snow plow video that it would be a huge success and you did not disappoint! That contraption makes easy work for a large driveway and sidewalk! You always do a good job! I understand the lady not wanting the snow on her lawn. I worry when I get too much snow around my house as it can go into the crawl space and cause problems with the foundation of the house. Also, if there are chemicals on the street that come in with the snow, the lawn can have a dead spot. I want to get a snow blower shovel. I have an electric snow blower, and it's great, but it's too heavy to grab for a quick job. Your neighbors are lucky to have you on their side! 💖

About the gutter and drain. Here in the northwest we have these drains about every 2-3 blocks where snow is pushed into them. In the malls, restaurants, large parking lots you'll see large sunken areas among the grassy areas for this reason. The drain that is in her front lawn is small compared to many other sunken drain areas in neighborhoods. We have homes in our neighborhood that are 4-5 times the size of the one in this lady's front yard and one of those are in our neighbor's front yard (takes about1/3 to 1/2 of their yards). If the drains are blocked and the temp goes above freezing, those blocked drains spread the runoff into the street...great for sledding but I don't like sledding in my vehicle. It's great to see when someone like Fill takes the time help out others around them. Keep it and BTW you're free to come by my yard anytime...joking.

0:17 Technically, a snowflake is "a flake of snow, especially a feathery ice crystal, typically displaying delicate sixfold symmetry." What you displayed to us, I'm quite certain, is what is known as a "clump of snowflakes." In part, because of the relatively warm temperature, a bunch of small ones joined their friends on the way down. ❄

Isn't this the whole reason channels like these get popular, by driving engagement getting people to judge their neighbors who want to be peculiar about their property? People get concerned about dumping because it's also depositing road wastes onto their lawn, the same lawn that neighbors and viewers of these channels will then criticize for being burnt or unkept if the snow pile freezes and compresses the soil or concentrates salts. From a 'crazy civil liberties' standpoint, people also just want to feel responsible for themselves and seeing somebody else start to clean up for them suggests they weren't cleaning up fast enough and breeds resentment. Other people maintain privacy by having antagonistic relationships with their neighbors and only feel respected when they're left alone. I'm glad I watched before commenting because I think you were polite and don't seem to be gloating in the commentary. If you understand that sometimes the way you want to be helpful isn't the kind of help somebody else wants, then no harm done. I'm mostly commenting because your attitudes as a commentator validate your audience's feelings of entitlement, and some of the replies I see here on youtube suggests that people think they should get to change other people's behavior if they think it's odd. Sure it may seem like a bratty person who can't take a favor is the one acting entitled. But imagine all the scenarios where contractors or public servants screw things up and shift the cost for fixing it onto property owners. I'd really like to live in communities where we can trust each other to get things done ourselves, and I think you have. But I have a background in workplace mediation so I wanted to catch you before your channel gets big and you stop caring what other people think.
