We have to upgrade at right guard. Eichenburg is constantly getting beat and falling down. I don't understand why he's been our starter for years now, he sucks bad

Yeah, we need to get Wynn some reps and let him get his feet under him again. Jones could probably rotate to the right and Wynn will be a better side-kick for Paul. Though Jones was decent in this game. I shudder when I imagine what it would be like with Eichenburg next to Paul.

Happy to see Paul’s progress and becoming more confident about him being the LT for seasons to come. It’s obvious that the OG is the reason why the Fins have struggled running between the tackles. Since AJ went down I believe they are under three yards per carry when going north/south

Ryder, this draft...I'd hope to trade down. Get a Guard in the 3rd, and another in the 5th or 6th or 7th, that has fallen in the draft. And try to sign as many Guards, OTs via UDFA, to fill in depth. It's good to see the progression of Patrick Paul. I still would have brought in Mark Evan II, and see if Terron Armstead, could help develop him (along with Coach Barry), to at least be quality depth, going into next year. Quality depth at either OT or Guard. Fins Up!

Another great analysis. I thought long before commenting this time. I guess my only issue is the framing of some things. Like when we analyze certain players the framing is "well he didnt have a perfect game". Its done a lot with Tua as well. I think thats probably just more me. Not sure why that bothers me. Like if certain guys arent perfect it implies negative right off the bat. Paul played a solid game. Does he need to continue to develop. Absolutely, just like every other player. He did miss on a couple plays for sure. But to me he is showing more than just flashes even with the very limited snaps hes seen. Most of which come from having to enter mid game due to injury. Which is not as easy as getting the practice all week and start. I think, my opinion, we have LT solved for the future.
@rydermcconville4 күн бұрын
I agree with the framing thing. The reason I do it more so with young guys is they are unproven. I know exactly what Tua is so if he has a miss it's not something that worries me in the future. Plus, OL is a position where if you have 3 bad plays sometimes that is all it takes to have a bad game. Like edge if you have 3 good plays that's sometimes all you need.

I like Paul, I think he can have a chop like improvement if he gets more reps and opportunities (which he might depending on Armsteds health)

We need him out there

Man, if we could clone him and put him in at guard or the other tackle, there would be a lot less people saying we are soft... especially linebackers around the league. Is there another tackle in the NFL capable of standing Quinton Williams up? Even if he pulls away later in the rep he's got to be saying: wait, was that the rookie bringing the lumber? We didn't give up a sack to the dreaded gang green... that's something to be pretty excited about.

The only thing that sticks out to me from this tape is how awful Eichenberg is. Dude is a backup utility guy at best. I think we're set at center and tackles-- our bookends don't have to be all-pros but they're good enough. On the other hand, we need guards sooo bad.

The Miami Dolphins didn't beat the New York Jets. The Jets beat themselves. Back to full health and seemingly out of excuses, the Dolphins still can't find a way to put together a full 60 minutes of football. Miami was outgained by the Jets, netting -0.7 yards per play versus its division foes. Their run game was obsolete, with De'Von Achane mustering 24 yards on 14 carries, contributing to just 83 rushing yards in the contest. Further, the Dolphins' defense let Aaron Rodgers put together his best performance of the past few years, underscoring the same concerns that pop up every other week. Foolishly, the Dolphins think they still have a shot at a playoff berth. But it won't be long before they again fall flat on their collective faces.

i don't know how we could make it happen, but i really want us to be able to get kelvin banks and malaki starks. i don't see it happening, but man would that be a dream come true
@rydermcconville3 күн бұрын
That would be crazy but don't see them getting both. Could see them getting one tho cuz I think both will probably be rated 1st rounders around where the dolphins will pick
@austingreene203 күн бұрын
@ my thought process is that we would need to trade up to get a 2nd first rounder. i think starks could end up slipping because of the position, and i would hope we could take banks in the middle of the first round where we're sitting now

I'm sure the league knows. Tyreek always, and I mean always, cuts toward the sideline. He may fake to the inside but never actually runs to the inside. It makes him predictable as hell. He is the worst threat to get Y.A.C. because of his predictability.
