Hello! I’m just a guy snapping photos.
This time, I took my favorite scale focus film camera, the Kodak Retina Ⅱa, out for some street photography. The film I used was Fujifilm 100.
The Retina is a rangefinder camera, so focusing works a bit differently from modern cameras. You align the double images you see in the viewfinder to bring your subject into focus. Exposure settings are, of course, fully manual, so it takes quite a bit of time to get everything ready before taking a shot.
It’s a rather tedious process, but that’s precisely what makes it so enjoyable!
