This film has never been the same for me since KAI told us that his mom cried over it saying "this just literally depicts your life" because the main message i received from the film is the feeling of being restrained and struggling to break free. It's crazy cause you can see him being watched from the cctv, running away, always looking behind him, and during sinner he was trapped inside the walls then kinda break free to dance in front of the lights only to return back inside the walls in the end. Add the lyrics of Sinner into it and i turn into a crying mess. "You're my pain and savior Because inside your cage, I I am free" -KAI

Yes, I also think that Sinner is about his relationship with stage, audience, being put onto a pedestal, but he's just as sinful as any other person in the audience in whose eyes he feels alive when they watch him on stage...

I see it as the performer (Kai in this instance) who can never be without his audience, as entrapping and restricting that attention can be it is also the only way his existence has meaning. He needs it to "live", the audience that turns away from the performer means his downfall and death. At the end, he says he can't escape and that he will stay there even if they leave him and it is sadly true, the artist in him will always be there but will stay in the shadows forever if the audience never looks at him again. This song always gets me emotional, the way he probably wants to be free but also is depending on his audience to give his art meaning and he's maybe a sinner because he still craves it, it's deeply sad

I think the whole film tells the story of how Kim Jongin became KAI and Sinner portray his current state as an idol where yes there's a lot of pressure and restriction but he knows being an artist/idol is his calling cause it allows him to freely express himself creatively. Also, Jongin told us once when he was younger he didn't have many friends because he had to transfer school a lot due to his father work so he found comfort in reading. I think Slidin' portrays that emotion where he found comfort in books and being in his room that represent his personal space

I think this is the perfetct lecture of the album. I agree each one of your words. This album is not just fantastic and fun and art... this is so Jongin, from first note and word to the end. He wanted give us himself just before enlist and I am so grateful to him, for his efforts, for his hard work and for this incredible result. A complete masterpiece. He is a giant in everything he does and I am so happy having him in my life.

Everything that Kai does is personal. His performances are always a part of him that he shares with us. He has mentioned this before but it's been brought up innumerable times in current and past interviews that he says "dance is my life". I appreciate and admire him not only for his artistry, but that he gives in fact so much of himself and in many ways shows his vulnerability. He leaves himself wide open for criticism and to me that is so brave., especially as a solo artist without his members, . Be proud of what you've accomplished dear Jongin! This come back has been nothing short of spectacular . And while we will never know what all the your hours of sweat and no sleep feels like, please know that we feel you. And we are in awe of you. Always be happy Jongin and do what you want in life ❤.

I'm really very proud of this, but when I found out that Bada Lee directed this, omg I was blown away, that woman and Kai really blend well together. They're collabs are amazing, she choreographed, Rover, Slidin, and Reason in the other Film Kai. Their cretivity together is such a bomb.
