Un vrai maître, pour qui l'art est un proces continue, à commencer par le traitement des couleurs naturelles, le proces pictural lui-même, la peur de ne pas tomber dans le «jolie» - tout dénote une cohérence et une sensibilité extraordinaires. Le film laisse une empreinte claire d'authenticité et de sincérité, qualités de plus en plus rares dans l'art d'aujourd'hui.

One of the most beautiful documentaire films I have seen on u tube. Congratulations to all involved and especially Valerie Buffetaud for her beautiful paintings. I wish I had been a better language student. French was my chosen language but unfortunately did not do well with it. Hopefully in my next lifetime!

Enfin une artiste qui ne se désigne pas comme telle, mais qui se contente de se présenter comme peintre... Ca nous change de tous ces gribouilleurs qui, dès qu'ils ont posé de la peinture sur une toile, n'ont pas la modestie d'attendre que ce soit le public qui les définisse comme artiste, si tant est que le public leur reconnaisse cette valeur... Révérence.

Il ne faut pas faire joli. C'est votre sentiment. Je pense que c'est une mode, aujourd'hui la femme doit être forte, pas de féminité, pas de faiblesse. Elle est l'égale de l'homme. Aussi un sentiment de se vendre, d’être commercial, pas assez vrai. Il ne faut pas faire joli. Mais faire joli, c'est aussi la beauté, celle que les artistes anciens ont toujours recherché. Si vous avez fait un trait et ça fait joli, il ne faut pas le cacher ou avoir honte! Enfin j'ai beaucoup aimé ce doc, et j'adore votre travail!

I can definitely see a Stephen king horror movie in this performance. As the laughter dies off, the end intention show itself. The terror begin and the audience moves to the exit but it's lock. The music get more frantic the painter moves like a beast as the painting and the painter expands in it's monster true form. The viewer are consumed one by one....

Hola te hago una pregunta . Estoy empezando a pintar cuadros y las pinturas acrílicas me salen muy caros. He hecho pintura casera con pintura de pared lavable y le he puesto tinte de impresora para darle los colores necesarios y así mismo no logro los colores vivos y al secar el trabajo queda opaco.. q me recomendaría q tipo de tinta o solo seguir usando las acrílicas q venden ya hechas? i can translate - Basically she is saying that she is doing her work for over 20 years, living in Paris, has been in Toscany for a long time, has come to work with African maps, as a sheet onto the canvas and first layer. She is exploring a non conventioanl, non figurative but might sometimes feel anxious to not have a pre determined idea onto her blank canvas. She just use spontaneous not ordained process. She also like to escape the frame. Has been collaborating with the same gallery for ten years, with whom she has found a common sensitivity and understanding of her work. She enjoys having people appreciate the deep reds finish of the work and make a distinction between northern Europe countries who feel more enclined to the red. In France she may also have some collectors, but her work is more understood in those northern countries. She enjoys travelling to Berlin for the same reason, her work being more well received. She says she is used to travelling for her work. Had been returning to the same toscany area as you see in the landscaping art work of the installation (Artist mentioned in the film). She returns perhaps because of the soft (suave) atmosphere and the constant changing in the landscapes and use the place as a transition, a break from her work periods.
