This has to be pointed out - 2:52 Jacobs is carrying Mack for a 7 yard gain! He’s carried the former raider and DPOY. The draft pick and cap space was worth the trade. Trent brown shut down Mack again. At the time it really hurt as a raider fan but now, it’s worth the trade.
@gregbrown2774 жыл бұрын
Please stop it! Raiders oline was playing dirty that game. Illegal blocks after Illegal blocks. Holding, chop blocks you can name it. That's the only way they got the advantage that game. Plus Hicks got hurt.
@davedurnum65004 жыл бұрын
Greg Brown no they weren’t. I’ve seen so many fucking bears fans whining about this exact topic. There was one chop block and incognito got penalized for it. Y’all lost, move on.
@martinf75674 жыл бұрын
Greg Brown it was beautiful seeing Mack’s post interview! Oh yeah, I’ll take Jacobs productivity and cheap contract over Mack’s salary cap hit. Salary cap helped transform and speed up the rebuild. I do feel bad for Bears fans, y’all could of had mahomes or Watson but y’all have pace as your GM. Mitch isn’t the answer but Foles might be.

Hey Sam, love the videos. Quick question about your play tracking at 2:55 (even though it's not the point of the video)- how are you determining if it's a Power run vs. a Gap run? I've always understood them to be interchangeable so I'm curious what I'm missing. Thanks!
@SamuelGoldNFL4 жыл бұрын
Gap and power feature man blocking. Gap plays don't have the pulling lineman that power plays do.

@hansoskar19114 жыл бұрын
not just Josh Jacobs gets more yards with motions, everyone does. Motion is the freest yardage you can get. No offense in history has ever used too much motion. using motion correctly is also great in the passgame.use motion.
@SamuelGoldNFL4 жыл бұрын
I looked into this and it's actually not true for every running back. Nick Chubb in 2019, for example, actually created LESS YPC on his runs with a pre-snap motion. Which is fascinating... 5.3 ypc without vs 4.6 ypc with. I think, on average, it works and I definitely agree with your overall point but not for every team.
@BreadVanVleet4 жыл бұрын
@@SamuelGoldNFL that could be because kitchens was terrible lol motions aren't just something you do at random. I don't think kitchens is a very calculated guy haha

Why has outside zone become so prevalent? And how will teams scheme against it this year
@SamuelGoldNFL4 жыл бұрын
You can pair it VERY well with play-action passing to get the stretch on the linebackers. They are forced to flow with it, so it opens up gaping holes in the defense. Think Shanahan + McVay offenses. They are the prime examples of this.

Why is he so low on your fantasy rankings? I feel like he will finish top 5 in rushing in the raiders scheme and with no legitimate option behind him. Just wondering
@SamuelGoldNFL4 жыл бұрын
I moved him up recently in my rankings on the new sheets. I have him end of first round now in Half PPR leagues. I realized that i was too low in projected receiving yards + catches. (The video at the end of this is from the old sheet, but the actual sheets at the top have him higher.)

The entire offense is stale and predictable. Gruden is 20 yrs behind the times. Guenther is 40 yrs behind the times. It is a fucking clown show of 3 Stooges idiocy. I have not seen the Raiders look well coached since Marc Trestman was OC. Dereck Carr is a joke. They totally blew their 5 #1 picks by not getting a real QB. Stop smoking Raiders crack.
