Regarding Danielle not remembering Jin in 2004, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think she ever explicitly interacted with Jin after the Oceanic 815 crash, did she? When Danielle was interacting more with the survivors at the end of Season 1, Jin was already away on the raft. Then when she was with most of the group at the end of Season 3, Jin was at the beach with Sayid and Bernard. So, i think it's safe to assume she didn't have the oppurtunity to pay much attention to him in 2004. Or, of course, she just completely forgot because she was crazy.

There is one scene where they're about 30-40' apart, facing each other, when she helped Jack blow up the dynamite in his 'We're gonna blow them all to hell;' demonstration, but they don't talk. And, as others have said, it was 16 years before and she went a bit crazy.

I like how they mixed Jin's survival with Danielle's reveal. To do either on their own would make it obvious. Doing this way is like "wait...is that? NO...WAIT...IS THAT?"

Besides classic LOST there are also 4 fans edited versions of this tv-show. Chronologically LOST (1) is rearranged so all events happen in chronological order year by year, month by month (and you see some timetravels before they crashed on the Island), I watched it and it gave me awesome experience absolutely different from classic LOST. Only through it I saw that the person who was in most devastating emotional state right before the Oceanic Flight 815 crash was not even Locke in a wheelchair, it was Jack. There is also LOST Circle (2) version - all scenes are also rearranged in time order but the way characters experienced it (time travels happen after main events on the island as they go here in s5). There is also LOST In The Detail (3) version that also includes both ARG Lost games (with all available footage edited into storylines), in universe commercials, the Gary Troup interview and Bad Twin audiobook, even the Dharma Lady music video, to enhance the rewatch. All 3 fans edited versions have extra scenes from LOST Missing Pieces mobisodes. But Chronologically LOST and LOST Circle are made only from tv-show scenes + mobisodes. LOST In The Detail has ALL extra materials from LOST universe. There is also a new version that was made just 4 month ago. It's called Caussalogically LOST (4). Besides Lost Missing Pieces this version also includes all delete scenes from DVD collection.

Thanks for the Reaction, Elie! At that moment, when Sawyer and the others in the boat found themselves in a night storm in the ocean after the flash, this scene was filmed in the pool, it turned out very convincingly. I think Danielle may remember the events with Jin, but it's not a fact that 16 years later she will still remember his face. I would definitely forget

Whatever happened, happened. So Danielle always met Jin when she got to the Island. But 16 years of living in isolation probably scrambled her brains a bit. Sawyer and Locke chose to not interact with the past because the writers have to obey the rules they setup three episodes ago.

Sawyer, Juliet etc it’s only been a few days since the time jumps started and they saw Jack, Kate etc on the helicopter on the day they left the island. When Juliet said “that was 2 months ago” she was referring to Kate delivering Aaron on the island as being 2 months ago. In time travel there is 2 time-frames happening. In 24 hours Sawyer, Juliet and Locke can time jump from 1954 to 2004 to 1977 to 2007. They have moved about several decades in time, but the time elapsed for them since those jumps started would still be 24 hours. So in that sense, Sawyer, Juliet etc have been time jumping only a few days, but yes in those few days they’ve jumped into several different moments in time across several decades. Hope that makes sense!

Great question about Danielle knowing or remembering Jin... the answer is they never met. They did share 1 scene when Danielle was igniting the C4 in Season 3 but other than that they never met. The question is would she remember his face.

Agreed! Getting off that island was the best thing that ever happened to Kate. Wish I could say the same for the other characters, but Kate was really the only one who changed for the better off that island. Kate as a mother is my favorite Kate.

Let’s talk about whether Danielle would remember/ recognize Jin since it’s such a hot topic when it comes up in Lost and any time travel show. Faraday says “whatever happened, happened” and that the main gang were always meant to have interactions with those in the past (ie the 1953 Others) so that means that Jin always met the French team as well. Now we’re seeing it from Jin’s present perspective, but for Danielle it’s her past (16 years). Would you remember someone you met 16 years ago? We don’t know how long Jin stayed with the team at this point, but considering that Jin and Danielle barely interacted before her death I’d say that she wouldn’t have been like “hey didn’t you wash up on this island with me?”

The question is would she know/recognize Jin which I argue no, she wouldn’t because it’s been 16 years and she’s been through extreme trauma living on the island. “Jin always met the French team” being that Faraday states that things in the past always happened a certain way.

Yes, if she wasn't crazy she would remember him from 16 years ago because of what happened to her in that short time when Jin was with her. I don't want to spoil cuz I don't know where Elie currently is, but as we know what she experienced in that time, if it happened to us I guarantee you wouldn't forget any detail of this. Madness is the only answer to that I think and that she didn't really pay attention to Jin when she came to warn survivors about others in season one and had no more interactions with Jin after that. But if she did, she would remember him I'm 💯 positive

Daniele didn’t really interact with Jin not to mention 16 years of being crazy. I’m surprised you didn’t catch it was Daniele’s team when the losties found the stuff from their boat and Locke asking “Anyone speak French?” As for the timeline. It’s been two months since Claire gave birth. But over three months since the crash. It’s still been a few days since the freighter explosion and technically it’s near new years already.

Nah, no cap. No truer words than when Kate told Jack that she has always been with him. They have always had the deeper connection. And Kate always had Jack's back. Having some feelings / sex with James doesn't change where her loyalty, and heart, imprinted first. I have always thought that Kate and Sawyer are much too much alike in nature to ever really work.

They aren't actively deciding to not interact because they dont want to change things. They literally CANT interact. If Sawyer chose to go say hi to Kate and Claire, then Kate and Claire would have seen him do it while Claire was giving birth in season 1. They didnt see him, because Sawyer never did that.

They can absolutely interact with the past... It just means that whatever they do, they always did. Because they are skipping thru time... they are just experiencing it from their point if view, right now. For example... John met Richard in 1954. That always happened. So Richard has known about John for 50 years. But for John... that moment in 1954 only just happened. Rousseau met Jin in 1988... Jin is just living it now. It's Rouseau's past, but Jin's present. Danielle never directly inteacted with Jin in S1-S4. I think *once*, he & Sun were about 30ish feet away from her. But while the group could focus on Danielle as one spotlighted person... Danielle was looking at a big group and very focused on her own intentions. I don't think that after 16 years, and a lot going on in her head, that there was any reason for her to specifically notice Jin.

Slight correction to something you said -- "too Juliet and Sawyer getting off the island was two months ago" or something to that effect... Juliet and Sawyer (and the scientists) story is January 2005 "where they are supposed to be"/whatever time that they currently exist ... regardless, it's the Juliet and Sawyer of three years prior. The thing they were referring to as "two months ago" was Claire giving birth to Aaron, which was late October/early November of 2004. So just to make it easy: January 2005 Locke/Sawyer/Juliet/freighter crew are time traveling Middle 2007 Oceanic 6 & Ben/Desmond are in middle 2007 where they are supposed to be. Hopefully that helps?

Sawyer let Kate go but he still yearns for her. He chose to jump off the helicopter to get her the best chance to leave the island. Seeing Kate in the jungle during the “skipping island” is a way for us and Juliet to gauge his current thoughts on Kate/ Sawyer. Is she over her? “What’s happened, happened.” So, he jumped off to get her home. That is done and he said his goodbye on the helicopter. Juliet is asking for Juliet but also as a proxy for us. Is he over her? Mmmmm? Think back of Juliet drinking rum on the beach - resigned to being stuck on the island and then who should appear but Sawyer. Juliet and Sawyer, sitting in a tree, k I s s I n g. It also shows Sawyer has changed. He selflessly let Kate go and Juliet knows this. Could they be stuck on the island together? I love LOST!

Rousseau not remembering Jin is quite reasonable, they only met once or twice and never talked to each other.. Ethan not remembering Locke whom he wanted to shoot in the past before he vanished right infront of him?? Not quite as believable.. :D I mean they went hunting together on the island.. And between locke flashing away before ethans eyes and oceanic 815 are only 3 years in between these two events.. if some bald guy who knew my name and knew Benjamin Linus by name dissapears right in front of me when im about to shoot him and then that same bald guy crashes with another plane three years later i think i would remember him and get a slight panic attack aswell.. :D But i think you all know the answer why that doesnt quite add up.. i bet all my money in season 1 the producers did not yet know that they would be doing a time travel season 3-4 years later. :D

The light has to do with the hatch, we saw a very very bright light when Locke was helping Kate go down into it. But then they show Kate delivering Aaron, which makes no sense. Some may say the other light is when Jhon was banging into the hatch, but that was not that intense of a light at all. One discrepancy that I guess the authors expect us to just go with it. Maybe that's why they had to add Jhon pinpointing it. But yes the light in that episode didn't create a beam like that.

The light we saw when Locke was helping Kate go down was due to the hatch door being blown off. That was just a few days after Locke was banging on the door - the same night Aaron was born and Boone died.

Danielle doesnt remember Jen after the crash because she is JUST NOW meeting him in the past. Everything that happened happened as we saw it. All the time travel stuff is happening NOW if that makes sense

For story purposes I willing to roll with the notion that the night Aaron was born and Boone died the Swan Hatch door Locke was pounding on produced a bright beam light so bright that it shot up in the sky. HOWEVER, Logistically and filmwise its impossible unless the hatch door was already opened. If you go back to the end of episode S1 E19 · Deus Ex Machina the hatch light did NOT shoot up into the sky. Before it was revealed to us when they were I wanted to say they flashed to the night they blew opened the hatch door. Now the show could have saved us the confusion and given another island flash it would have been a bit more convincing.

Well, classic lost's time travel - it sucks. Again, rules arent established well enough. Plenty of time writer's condratdict themselves. But lost fanboys either have a completely illogical explanations for it. Or will just blindly say "no no, writers established rules in the writing room, it all makes sense, it's all perfectly logical" 😂 Sucks i can't point out all of those things out. I guess i can only do it after the show's finale 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think you misunderstood the interaction between LOST and its viewers. It's up to them to find a logic when the writers' logic is not clearly explained. And since each viewer is different from their neighbor, the logic differs or does not exist, which is apparently your case. Personally, I find everything logical in LOST's time travel. But you have to think a little and I like that.😊
