Offensive line works until Ravens, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings, teams with good defenses. Wide receivers cannot be man coverage, it is the 49ers Kryptonite. Kyle Shanahan running predictable sets and not spreading out the defense. Brock Purdy looked uneasy all day against the Chiefs pass rush and blitzes.

The problems with your logic is, the defenses are daring the team to run. They aren’t letting him throw downfield That’s why Pacheco and hunt are feasting. Also take a look at the other reason the chiefs own the niners…running and mobile qbs are the Achilles heal of the niner defense. The cardinals which are not that good beat the niners because they have a mobile qb that can improvise as well

@@donovan4222 I don't think that's accurate. The 49ers did a great job of keeping coverage, yet Mahomes managed to get the ball into the hands of his targets. There was only 2 throws by Mahomes that I would argue weren't great throws, and he made those during contact with a defender... His Passer rating was what? 44.4 or something? If you hit your target in the hands, and they tip the ball into the air to a defender...that doesn't mean the QB is playing poorly, even if the stats sheet might indicate that. The 33 yard QB run was so clutch...Not to mention running straight through a defender on the goal line for a TD...perfect, tight, quick, coordinated handoffs...he managed the fuck out of this game and systematically dismantled the 49ers...it just wasn't flashy. The Chiefs are 6-0... and the fact they are winning games in the way they are...there isn't a single team in the entire league that knows how to prepare against them given what they know Mahomes can do through the air as well.

Defenses have now figured out Brock Purdy and have gone to man to man instead of zone and the Niners receivers are slow and can’t create separation! Only a sporadic running game and just too many injuries. Looking at the remaining schedule, I can see the Niners losing six of those games and missing the playoffs. Main thing is that Brock has an ok arm but lacks power for any kind of deep threat and with slow receivers, this offense is now different and predictable.

I recently watched film of his first year. He threw off his back foot far more rarely than what he's going now. He was fearless in the pocket, and now he's ducking a lot and making dumb mistakes. I'm a fan. I like the guy a lot, I'm rooting for him. But he doesn't have the arm strength to overcome bad body balance. This league will beat you down, so he needs to rediscover that fearless attitude. And get CMC back. LOL.

Especially considering the fact that Purdy had to prove himself so many times more than he deserved just because he was picked last. And you have a point. We all thought before the season that this year would be very hard on him. We all thought that due to a lack of skill players, he would have to and want to play more hero balls and we would see him make a ton of INTs. But a miracle happened. He managed to change his playstyle almost overnight and now he has made only one INT. I just don't see the same quality in Purdy. That's all. I think this year is the simulation of what would happen if Niners pay him too much. Yes, he doesn't have CMC and Aiyuk, but he still has Kittle, Juszczyk, Deebo, and Jauan. In my opinion, that's better than what Mahomes or Josh has. And now Niners is only at 4-4. Last year, they were a champion contender. This year, they are a mediocre team. I know it's unfair if we put all the blame on Purdy, but that's what happens if you get paid 50mils a year as a QB1. We know that is just how it is.

That is what I am thinking signing him to a 4 year 40 million contract with 120 guaranteed is pretty solid. If Niners do have a bad season this year, I'd be perfectly fine with it. Why do ppl constantly question Purdy? Allen has bad games with multiple interceptions quite often. He lobs it as much as possible. Considered top tow or three. Lamar gets completely shut down a bunch, yet he’s strong can run fast so he’s ’amazing.’ Burrow has gone two full seasons of eh to decent play while still being considered one of the best. Plenty of opportunities to win this game, but combo of no skill players, a few bad decisions by Purdy (one INT was just a miscommunication), and horrid offensive line play continues to plague the team. Mahomes was mortal and let off the hook. Getting Greenlaw is going to be so helpful in stopping outside tackle runs and LB coverage, and CMC will really help the red zone offense. This team should be 5-2 but had some bad luck and our fans are spoilt expecting this team to win every game, but wins are hard in the NFL. Let’s be grateful for what we have compared to the other dumpster fires in the league. Will be interesting to see how this team responds in Dallas and after the bye. Go 9ers!

Everyone been telling me he's a top 5 QB in the league. The only stat he is top 5 in is yards passing, everything else is middle of the league or worse. You can't cry about injuries, either you're able to overcome adversity, or you are not. He was overthrowing some wide open guys in the highlights I saw. I'm a realistic 49er fan and can say this. Brock does not have NFL arm strength. He consistently under throws deep passes. That pass to cowing would have been a TD if he had the arm strength to hit Cowing on stride. Brock struggles mightily in the Redzone because he does not have the arm strength to fit the ball in those extremely tight windows
