Good grief! When you don't speak the language, can't rely on subtitles and still get sucked in by the performances, you know the actors are bringing their A game. Much respect to Aishwarya Rai for carrying a 3 hour melodrama, playing a character going through one emotional wringer after the next in close-up. Audiences must have loved her even more after this. Hats off! ✊ PS: 1:58:57 was the hook that stopped me scrolling through. Performance goals on both sides! Who knew keeping your eyes open and thinking of England works better than closing them for it... probably a poor choice of expression for this film, given its context, but you know what I mean! 😖 At least the guy had the good grace to back off. I've attempted the same tactic on an unsolicited suitor of sorts and they just dug their heels in. Maybe it's because I don't have Aishwarya's eyes... or because I'm male... and the aggressor's female... barely. Good luck to her, whatever the reason. She'll need it. 😂🤣🤡 #2341
