Fury road is one of my fav movies but I think Nux was more of a pragmatist, he only changed sides once he looked like a doofus in front of Immortan Joe and a hot girl was nice to him
@wyvern7235 ай бұрын
I don't think it was about pragmatism. That poor kid had never really been treated with any kind of kindness or warmth. He was taught to live and die in the name an abusive , evil cult leader. He was shown kindness at his lowest point. That it was by a pretty girl helped a lot, but the rest of the team accepted him, and showed him respect that he didn't really see much, despite being really a solid mechanic with a lot of useful skills. That means a lot.

I just realized technically you could make a Mad Max X Planet of the Apes crossover and it wouldn't ruin the lore. Mad Max takes place in Australia and all the POA films take place in North America, there are no apes in Australia and it looks pretty clear any that were meant to be there had died meaning the Simian Flu would never reach there. Basically you could have the plot be like this: Max and a group of settlers decide to leave the land and travel across the ocean which would lead to a warlord and his men to follow them, eventually they land where Caesar's Ape Colony was, only it's led by Cornelious

I just realized you just genuinely don’t understand how lore and storytelling works. This is why I 100% ignore anything that falls under “head canon” or “fan fiction “. “Darth Jar Jar” is a shit idea, and yours is on the same, or lesser level of it. You literally just ignored everything involving the original story to excuse your idea of what you want to see. As innocent as it is, I’ll probably be the only/first one to tell you it’s B.S. Please stop with this bullshit. It’s a modern phenomenon of modern consumers thinking they can do better than the original, and places like Reddit and Tumblr convincing you that your sub-par ideas and writing have a valid place in the storytelling started by the original person that came up with, and executed the idea.

was there some kind of reddit poll I missed where people can comment movie ideas on? nobody 'asked' for Fury Road either, this logic only works with huge IPs looking to make annual revenue like Disney's Star Wars and Marvel, Mad Max has never been like those franchises, its always been Miller's projects and he wanted to make a Furiosa movie since before shooting Fury Road, one single spin off about another character, that's all he had planned and everyone's acting like he gender-swapped Max and pretending this is another Disney billion dollar franchise when its not
@mortem-tyrannis4 ай бұрын
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 well yes actually but not a poll, fans have been very helpful in influencing movies to be more like the last Riddick movie and the one coming up. In case saying nobody asked for a furiosa movie is saying of all the characters she wasn't the one to make a film for, nobody was talking about how cool or interesting it would be to see her story since we already have and then call it a mad max saga with no max is just kinda shitty. Imortan joe would have been a good prequel to make but I assume woke culture had a play in it but that filth has its grubby fingers in everything, meaning I know he wanted to do a furiosa movie for a while but never had until now being influenced by the culture. He can do as he wants people can like it I'm just saying they can't pretend to be surprised that it's not doing so well because op girl bosses are for the people outside of reality.
@thisbubblygoodness76114 ай бұрын
@@mortem-tyrannis 'fans have been very helpful in influencing movies to be more like the last Riddick movie' what? no idea what that meant so I googled 'Riddick Movie' and the only results I got was some cheap Vin Diesel movie that's sitting at a mediocre 50% on all the reviews, doesn't sound very 'helpful' to me. "nobody was talking about how cool or interesting it would be to see her story since we already have and then call it a mad max saga with no max is just kinda shitty" first of all, 'Mad Max' is the IP/Brand/Franchise name, the name literally encapsulates everything about the movies, including cars, characters, stories and wasteland aesthetics, hence why I can say 'Toecutter is my favourite Mad Max character/ Giga-Horse is my favourite Mad Max car', so I'm not sure what's so hard about understanding that 'A Mad Max Saga' means it takes place in the world of Mad Max, it doesn't mean the titular character by himself. and second, the 'cool and interesting' parts of Fury Road was the actual cars and stunts themselves and the biggest complaint about Furiosa is the cgi, the characters themselves are fine and well written, calling her an OP girl-boss makes my head itch because she goes through more shit in one movie then Rey Palpatine did in three Star Wars movies, she never once fights men bigger then her, she loses more then she gains, she always had tools and help, how is she a girl-boss? this movie flopped for a plethora of reasons but I'm sick of the 'no one asked for' shit, save it for Disney when they want to make another Marvel TV show, not George Miller when he decides to make a movie in his own franchise once a decade
@mortem-tyrannis4 ай бұрын
@@thisbubblygoodness7611 well it shows nobody wanted this shit, if you like it you watch it you have that right. As far as you trying to take up for it or give some type of credence to its existence I don't care and it ain't going to change nothing for me. So watch your furiosa and have a good day. As for Riddick it's in the same type of culture that these movies started out in, they had more of a cult following than a blockbuster type movie in the fans help get these movies made my requesting and putting pressure on those who are involved. Weather it made a bunch of money or not is not my point the people asked for it is the point, and the fans liked it. All I was saying is no fans or asking for furiosa nobody but the director gave a shit.
