At 105, the Crooked Man, my grandmother used to tell me stories about him. I was born in 1952 in the mountains of NC. She raised me in an isolated house in a "hollar" surrounded by woods with the next door neighbor at least a mile away. She told me of him ,and others, like the Behinder, the Tree Topper and the scariest was the Skiddyrinkous. I guess that's how it was spelled. It wasn't hard to imagine something hiding in the dense laurel thickets. Anyway, movie brought back memories I'd long forgotten. She showed me how to do the "Evil Eye" which warded off those spirits, except for that Skiddy guy.

My gramdma Sevilla Hawkins was born in unaka NC in 1924 and my great aunt Arizona born and raised in marble NC...i dont know when she was born im 36 and aunt zony passed when i was like 10 or 11 years old i think..she was a month shy of being a 104 years old when she passed..but im from south east Tennessee n ive heard about tree toppers and the crooked man i never heard of the skiddy diddles hahaha however you say that but sounds interesting...i grew up at the mouth of a place called renager holler..my papa use to say theys haints in them woods dont go by yourself hahaha

@adamhawkins3036 My grandmaw was born in 1898 or 1888. She was married at 13 and only went to school to the 2nd grade. Grandpa only made it to 2nd also, but he was maybe the smartest person I ever knew, except for my dad. Grandpa was the only person ti really understand the stick market. He worked at the ,what they called, the Thread Plant for 40+ years, but when he died we found out he was really well off and left all to the Church of God. They built a really nice church with it and with what was left over, the holy roller preacher stole and left with the church secretary and hasn't been seen since. They lived in a four room house in the hollow since 1923, well water, with garden, and a gun range. My uncle built a house(3 rooms) to live in and keep his guns and reloading stuff. I grew up there and got a 22 rifle for my 6th birthday and a 16ga double barrel for my 8th. Started shooting when I was old nuff ,at maybe 3. I'll shut up. If I go on, I'll have a biography.

Trap and Heretic look good! Not a fan of sequels, but Beetlejuice 2 is a must. Flight Risk looks like a predictable 90s action thriller in the best way. Would rent that one. Beetlejuice 2 is the only one I’m for sure going to see in theaters.
