Great tips! Sometimes when I do not want to leave Premiere, I just low the porcentage from 50 to 5.. And, why 50% it's the default in Premiere? Never works with that number!

@Readthis880 Where do you get that idea from? What editors have you worked with? What have VFX with Formats to do with your statement? I am an editor and no VFX artist. But I assure you that I will always have clear communication with VFX artists and whomever who needs the export in the correct format for them to work with. I believe that you are mixing apples with pears here. Because editors tell storys, VFX artists help the editors enhance their storytelling through visual effects, through the notes of the editor and or director. Saying that editors are the worst to work with means that you have either worked with none, or that you worked with some people who claimed to be editors and weren´t.

Hi Chris. I'm a Senior Editor who started in the last century in a Grass Valley room with a Quantel and an ADO 3000, then jumped to NLE starting from 0 with Smoke by Discreet Logic, before moving to Autodesk. Currently I don't do much work in visual effects, rather I'm an editor of Latin American cinema where I live and where there is usually no budget and there is little VX work. Watching this tutorial, I have realized that there was still knowledge left out of my preparation and I thank you enormously for the class because I am also a post professor at a university. Excellent work of you guys. What a wonderful journey from the era of 1- and 2-inch video tape to the digital process in 4 to 8K, it's incredible everything I've experienced in an editing room.

Great to have you with us, Julio! VFX & graphics really is a whole other door to be opened in the world of editing. It's a nice change of pace from editing sometimes - you can actually play music while you work on graphics...not quite as easy to do while editing 😂

I used to be in the mind of "jack of all trades and a master of my kingdom" until a combination of burn out and 60% accuracy across the whole project vs 100% in my skill set, now im all for colaberation, this is the same mindset towards "generalists" its important to know how to do these things BUT in my opinion its better to have a few people involved that are masters in their realm rather than one person whos passable, I focus on VFX now, when I need editing done, if its something simple ill do it but if its something time consuming, its out the door to some one else while I focus on something in my wheel house. A big aspect of this "editors doing VFX work" is that for a lot of the stuff I see out there are pretty rough end results which right now isnt helping the ongoing war against VFX and CGI, this of course is directed at bigger more involved jobs, not just tracking and stabilizing etc. I have been given plates from editorial that they have stabilized and I almost always have to request the raw plate and do it my self because of things they dont look for (why would they?) like grain, artifacting, ghosting from speed warping or track warping etc. I think every one should know how these things are done and how much work it takes to get from raw to final, give it a shot for sure but if they have the budget and time (big IF) bring a dedicated VFX artist in to deliver high end output.

Please share the tutorial for fusion with us
@rpgmakerbloodytutorials948611 ай бұрын
The null is basically a place holder for position rotation scale unless you use expressions like combining 2 points you then link the null to stock footage footage etc to follow the motion of what you tracked but from watching action vfx all a null is the transform node in fusion after using planar tracker

Thanks! We actually use After Effects as our primary graphics program regardless of what editing software we're currently working in. We'll just export QuickTimes from AE and import than into our NLE just like normal footage. Fusion is definitely becoming quite impressive as a graphics option but in our opinion After Effects is still the ideal choice for a variety of reasons.
