Filmi Ladies episode 117: Veer-Zaara 20th Anniversary

Preity Zinta not getting the Filmfare for this will forever be my Roman Empire and the fact that the Best Actress went to Rani for HUM TUM!?!?! of all things... I will never get over it. I stil remember how much of an event this movie was in 2004. That image of SRK and Preity embracing each other and with her black dupatta/shawl is so iconic to me because of how it was plastered everywhere when the film was coming to theatres. Watching it as a child, the film didn't quite land but I remember finding SRK and Preity very sweet especially when he's taking her to his village. However, watching it as an adult... Good GRACIOUS I was completely won over and I just couldn't believe just how much Veer and Zaara loved each other this immensely.

@swikarkalden What's even more ridiculous is Saif getting the National Award for Hum Tum over Srk for Swades. I hate Hum Tum for so many reasons including shit like the award stuff.- Pitu
