I think the movie missed the mark to become iconic in its ending. Thanos felt empty and the weight of the film fell flat. There weren’t any real consequences. The sad part is they had scenes deleted that would have solved this problem. Such as this: Deleted plot line: 2014 Thanos sent his Nebula back to 2023 so she can open the portal to bring Thanos army. Before that Thanos in his rage goes to Earth and kills the Avengers himself taking Captain America’s head with him to the future. Before his speech when he says, “You won’t be alive to tell it.” He shows Captain his head and instead tell Tony/Cap/Thor that he’s already killed them once and a variation of his “In all my conquest” monologue and begins the fight. The movie really lacked that darkness and it would have been world better if that scene was in there.
