Easily the best BTS content. The pacing, information, comedy ...and let's not forget the cool, bluesy vintage rock-n-roll bgm.

From the looks of it, the projector shots turned out very good. I didn't expect that. And the fan, so good. It elevated the lighting and mood off that scene.

Yes, the projection shots turned out great!! Black and white look helps a bit, of course!

Thank you guys, it's so great to see your workflow, especially your lighting and projection solutions. I always felt bad for lighting my scenes with cheap Ikea lamps and self made cardboard reflectors, but in the ends it's only important what the camera sees! :D - Keep up the great work
@sliceoflifefilm11 ай бұрын
Exactly! Back on Slice we used a lot of hardware store lights, cheap LED lights, flashlights... 😂 As you said, its only important what the camera sees! 😉

Very clever way to shoot this stuff. I’ve used iPad for closeups and it also works. Black magic cameras are very good. Love those lenses you used!!!❤

A dilemma when green-screening a man getting into a car: should you put the chair on a platform, so that he has to step up into the car realistically? If you do, then when he stands outside of the far side of the car, you won't see his feet.
@sliceoflifefilm8 ай бұрын
Good idea. Perhaps the platform doesn't have to be solid, more like a table shape with supports on each side. That way the legs could be seen...

This series is amazing, thanks making these and taking us along! Any news on the festivals?
@sliceoflifefilm11 ай бұрын
Glad you like it! Nothing exciting on the festival front. A few rejections so far. It's a 30 min film which is always a problem. They always prefer 10-15 min films.

Man, Luka...you look tired in this video. However, like not having a 4k projector, it doesn't detract from the video. Nice work as always; I'm taking notes on your production techniques. PS the fly swatter falling in the urinal and the inspiration it gives George is a very nice story element.
@sliceoflifefilm11 ай бұрын
Yes the HD projector worked, but I hope next time we'll have better equipment 😂

Yeah, guys, Luka and Dino, you look very very tired... Filming a shot in 3 mon - that's a miracle :) Who felt asleep at 0:20? :D
@dejangotic11 ай бұрын
Hm don’t know... Dino always looks like he is on hyperactivity drugs of some sort to me... So far I haven’t seen him in low energy mode at any point, he is like a child in the sandbox playground!
@sliceoflifefilm11 ай бұрын
Yeah, tired. And it's only day 3! It's going to get worse! 😂

I'm new to using projection and green screen in production. Why did you use projection in this scene instead of just filming in front of a green screen and adding the background in post? Thanks and love what you guys are doing, keep it up!
@sliceoflifefilm8 ай бұрын
Well you get instants results in camera and eliminate the extensive post production work. That alone makes it worthwhile. Also, I'd say that in some cases it looks more natural.
@dougrobinson570611 ай бұрын
Ok, so was the flyswatter falling in the urinal by design, or a happy accident?
@sliceoflifefilm11 ай бұрын
It was scripted! It was an important plot point.
@freeedward89 ай бұрын
What about the sound? From this clip, it's obvious it is indoors, not outdoors. How did you fix this?
@sliceoflifefilm9 ай бұрын
We shot with a boom mike, but all actors had lavaliers as well. We also did some post processing to eliminate reverb.
