I'm a huge fan. Seen the new film ca. 7 times. Always in 2D. I have to admit I've wondered if it actually needed the 3D considering how much time it took setting up. Maybe with the time and cost saved they could have started with a new one sooner.

I don't think they used Magic Lantern on 5d footage. Probably would help with banding.

On film sets, there are many physically strong dudes who move heavy gear between set and trucks/basecamp. But it's the ladies who sustain all the heavy lifting throughout the day in Camera and Electric depts. Because those are the 2 depts which truly depend both brawn and brains attention to detail. Lifting camera cases and HMI ballast boxes all day is enough. Then to have scientific knowledge of balancing 4-OT runs off the Genny is too much. I won't even mention the perils of handling a $150,000 Zoom. I'll stick to C-Stands and Dolly Track.
