This movie was beyond sad. that girl made a lot of money cause that was some good acting.

its not all about the money she is so cute

how do you know she made a lot of money? and also often the payment is not about how well the acting is but how successful they estimate the movie to be.

She was ape'ing American English, seems something the UK actors are really good at, but not vice versa.

@@ablemagawitch I heard some actors try copy Irish accents really hard accent to copy
@ablemagawitch4 жыл бұрын
@@BeldamDoll Many dialects are hard to copy accurately and fluently. Especially so it rolls of the tongue naturally and with each varied emotional alteration.... Glade to see people are still looking up and watching videos about "The Lovely Bones". It was a good book and movie that fell off the radar too fast.
@JR-ju3kj9 ай бұрын
@@ablemagawitch I think one reason for that( UK actors beings really good at affecting an American accent and not the other way around) is because UK actors understand that Americans actually have an accent, whereas like Jimmy Kimmel said on his talk show, we here in North America, tend not to think that we DO have accents just like anyone else anywhere else in the world has an accent. I think that the psychology behind it is important, too.

What she does in the movie, the one last thing, is she posseses the girl who started to hang out with her crush, and for a moment her crush sees her, and he kisses her. So typically she gets the kiss she never had the chance to have, so it's a really sweet scene!
@honamiwrld4 жыл бұрын
in the book they have sex, the movie left out some details but i guess it was so younger audiences could watch it. i replied very very late im sorry lmfao
@ainselcrowvenski4874 жыл бұрын
@@honamiwrld That seems like a running theme with this adaptation, where it's already kinda dark but they left out the more explicit stuff. Imagine hanging out with someone you like and finally start a relationship with them, then years later they admit the first time they had sex with you, they were seeing/imagining you as your dead classmate who was abducted and murdered. In this case, I think just keeping it to a kiss was a good call.
@linds8973 жыл бұрын
@@ainselcrowvenski487 well, in the book he knows it's Susie not Ruth also. Ruth visits the in between and Susie gets a taste of love. It's mutual, Ruth is okay with it.

@@ainselcrowvenski487 it was so the director’s children could watch the movie as well. And by extension children in general. I think it’s just as important for children to watch this as it is an adult
