I'm not gonna lie, cheesy 90s B-list action is my favorite movie genre. I really can't get enough of them.

Maybe its B-list movie, but two things are really nice here: - main track - fight sequences better than many top tier movies

"cheesy 90s B-list action is my favorite movie genre" The fight scenes in this movie are far, far better than almost all Hollywood action movies of the 90s. How you did not pick up on that is really strange and surprising. The only ones that are equal to this are Hollywood movies were they brought in Hong Kong action masters to do the action scenes such as Yuen Wo Ping who directed the action of the Matrix trilogy (Yuen Wo Ping did not do the action for Matrix 4).

I'm confused... Wasn't this meant to be *The King Of The Kickboxers 2* film? *Edit:* Right... I've had some time to think about it... I'm guessing there has been some sort of mixup and mistake! Maybe somebody has gotten mixed up themselves and called this the sequel to the first *The King Of The Kickboxers* film, as You would think that, since the production to the first film looks practically the same to this one! Okay, I now know this film is titled *American Shaolin* , so that's that! 😅😊

Despite of all its flaws, like bad sound editing and cheesey dialogue, I do like this movie a lot. Not just for the Martial arts but the story. The protagonist journeys to become a better fighter. But instead he learns to become a more peaceful man. He starts out as arrogant, reckless, and devoid of any purpose or direction. Through the Shaolin temple, he finds both physical and spritual enlightenment. He learns discipline, he matures into taking responsibility, he finds his sense of belonginess even. The part that I loved was when the head master tells him "You are like someone swimming in fresh water, and yet complaining "I thirst". Everything he needed to learn and wanted to be is in the Shaolin temple, and yet he kept rebelling against its rules
