Just a fast fun fact: It's interesting how the Archons (the Gods) fits their Goetia names. - Venti, aka Barbatos: The name Barbatos; this demon described to be an archer. And what we got in shape of Venti? A bow user. - Zhongli, aka Morax: The demon, Morax described to be someone with high knowledge about gems crystals and plants, and also a kind of teacher. Which we can see in the Archon quest when we preparing the funeral for Zhongli's fake death. - Raiden Shougun, aka Baal/Bael: Baal is described to be a warrior. And what we got in shap of Raiden? A shougun who good with polearm/spear, so basicly a warrior. - Sumeru's Lesser lord kusanari, aka Buer: is also can fit with the corresponding Goetia demon's description "he teaches natural and moral philosophy, logic, and the qualities and uses of all herbs and plants, and is also capable of healing all infirmities (especially of humans) and bestows good familiars.", because we know that Sumeru is the nation that famous about it's academy, and we also know that the Archon did help to heal the nation's natural loss and saved the people. - The new Fontaine Archon, Focalor: The Lemegeton describes this demon as someone who drowns people and overthrow warship and power over the sea (which kinda fits with she being the Hydro Archon) and also described as a demon who listens to a specific person's orders to behave (which is fits what we seen in the trailer when the guy who seems to be the second in power ordered her to behave). And Paimon's name also comes from the Goetia, which is kinda foreshadows a possible importance in her in-game role.

The character burning the picture is the hydro archon, I feel like we can tell she's important because she's literally sitting above the chief justice.

Plus she doesn’t talk to him as if he’s superior, and she doesn’t speak to him like a colleague. It feels more friendly than most interactions the Chief Justice would have with other characters.

Also according to the preview 2 years ago the God of Justice "lives for the spectacle of the courtroom " so her dialogue in this video makes it obvious that it's her.

Best part is, those aren't Arlecchino's gloves, thats just how her hands actually look. It reminds me of how witches are always portrayed with black fingers, but here its her entire hand

@@Relevart9169 Actually, kinda does. Hoyoverse in Genshin tends to make references to existing things by using names for example. And usually the character's personality traits somewhat reflects that. Just like as how the Archons's names does refer to demons from Goetia (or in other word Lesser keys of Solomon or Lemegeton). - Venti, aka Barbatos: The name Barbatos; this demon described to be an archer. @@tovarishchfeixiao the comedia is simply the reference for the names, nothing else has been done with it, they don't follow the same roles or characteristics with their comedia counterparts. If they did pierro would be a clown. The only names that mean anything are the basic ones like doctor and captain. But what does any of that have to do with anything in my original comment about arlecchino's hands and the reference behind them?

@@Relevart9169 I never said that they are the same thing as the one that they being designed after, i only said that there is reason for having that name reference, other than just having the names. Also i aimed your statement about the "Their names doesn't mean anything" and not about her hands (which possibly just design choice or something about her background which we not know about yet). And what i mean by design choice if that the italian Arlecchino's name comes from the old french term herlequin/hellequin who was depicted as a BLACK-FACED demon did lead a group of demons who chased the evil people's souls to Hell (basicly the french version of the Wild Hunt). And the traditional Arlecchino in the play wore red-and-black mask (which mabe also can be an explanation for her eye colours) and possibly the devs did used her hand for the iconic colour instead of the face. And possibly their names also has a little to do with their role's nature in the italian play. Also idk where you did take the idea of it being her actual hand. Since we literally know nothing about the character other than the visual design and the name and her position in the organization.

In anime when it comes to the eyes, different shapes are usually used as a way to show a character's personality, they take the phrase "The eyes are the window to the soul" very seriously and add more flare to them.

After breaking it down, it looks like a combination of Live2D (for most of the character movements), hand-drawn frames (for the water splash at the start, the gunshot and lightning), and finally 3D (the cards, confetti, the 360 degrees Arlecchino turn and the courtroom scene at the end).

The character who is in the water is Freminet - a new character who is only in that shot. It's interesting because he was revealed to be a diver in Fontaine who seems to be really comfortable in the water. So him looking like he is drowning? Kinda scary. He is also a younger brother of the duo doing the show, Lyney (in red with hat) and Lynette (cat ears). These three were just advertised as the next new characters in 4.0 update. The woman with X eyes is Arlecchino (or ''The Knave'' as another title).

Funfact, at 2:15 if you look at the background and not Freminet, you can see a kind of submarine coming towards him. He panics and thats why he suddenly opens his eyes!

When Lyney was saying that what you see is important, at that moment, the design of the card shown is a hat...a hat that looks just like Foçalors' (the archon). So basically he's telling us that she's what we see, but not necessarily the truth (as in, she might not be really the one in power, like a figurehead, or perhaps she chooses to delegate these matters and thinks they are beneath her).

I'm hoping this goes in the other direction; that Focalors-as-jester-archon-in-the-court is functioning as her own figurehead; the very visible hat she chooses to be seen wearing effectively blinding most people to most of what she considers her actual work. But we'll see.

I feel one of the most interesting details is that the simplest way in real life to seamlessly transition from actors taking a bow on the stage to cutouts of them is the Pepper's ghost effect, which is still used today but notably prominent in theaters during the Belle Époque period in France. The creators thought that out.

The "pillars" around Arlecchino (the woman with the red X eyes) are the other members of the Fatui (the baddie organization) The girl holding the picture is the God of that land, the Archon. She is the Archon of Justice and her element is Water.

You are missing some context here. The girl burning the photo is the hydro archon, not a bodyguard for the Chief Justice. She isn’t wearing any uniform similar to anyone else- rather, they are all kind of dressed with inspiration from Europe’s Belle Epoch era, and of course there’s a favoritism for the color blue because she’s the hydro archon. In the beginning shot, Freminet (the character in the ocean) is a diver. He feels at peace and is calm when diving in the sea, as it’s a place of comfort for him. His shock at the end isn’t because he realizes he’s drowning (he’s not), but likely because he realizes there’s something in the water. If you back up, you will see a change in the lighting and shadows around him that indicates that something very big is coming toward him in the water (like Monstro sized).

The tunnel transition reminds me of those old vaccum tubes that would be used to send papers to different parts of a larger building back in the day.... or an old-timey nautical speaking tube (that would sometimes be used to eavesdrop, as well).

I feel like there are a lot of sus characters in Fontaine....aside from Arlecchino & probably her brother Wriothesley together with her subordinates Lyney & Lynette...the Flying Umbrella Girl Navia is probably a Fontaine Celebrity but actually a Witch from the Hexenzirkel or a spy from the Penumbra Group. Even Neuvillette sounds annoyed from his spoiled brat superior Furina & he might be just pretending to be her ally, but actually is colluding with the Fatui because his loyalty will only go to the previous Hydro Archon Amrita...which is already 500 hundred years dead, that made the nation go into chaos in the hands of the new archon Furina. So maybe he's using his right hand messenger or secretary Clorinde to secretly collude with Arlecchino & her House of Hearth...or maybe to collude with the Penumbra Faction or other unknown groups yet.

I think the burning of the picture was supposed to be hinted that Arlecchino was burning it. The screen goes black after she snaps, then we see the photo burning from the bottom of the screen. The next character's comment about it being boring make me think that she knows Arlecchino is up to something, but isnt worried about it.

@Keiki-kun if we got a guy that likes fighting and almost destroyed a city as a teammate and a Pinocchio with mommy issues and a god complex as a teammate. I see no reason she can't be playable. Hell Dottore is practically datamined as playable from what I've heard. If we can get Oppenheimer but doing it for the luls as a character, the only thing stopping them is just giving a mommy the Signora treatment but like Signora was a lost cause of using her own arrogance and above all others personality to the point hubris struck way too hard when she got put in her place. Most of the other harbingers at least seem wise enough to not push their luck antagonizing the wrong people too much and get out while they still can. Even Childe being the Son Goku boy, I sure love fighting everything guy seems to know when to back out and has a drive to revolving around fambily. Arlecchino is giving off the edge of not being what she seems and being a string puller so she'd have to fuck up pretty hard to get caught up in an executioning. Hoping that's not the case though cause that's money on the table if they knock that character off the playable roster. Initial comment was implicit on how Hoyoverse hasn't done another weapon style yet and the closest we've gotten to hand to hand characters is Heizhou and arguably Baizhu but using catalysts.

I believe Arlecchino is Pryo an Electro. Those singed handes are from explosion. You know eXplosion her eyes is X. explosion is exciting for villain. She may be a mad scientist. could be the the reference to Ursula from little mermaid. Deep sea creature. 4. Clorinde could be inspire by the flying dutchman. 5. the girl that burn the polaroid wore a black and white glove could be symbolize good and evil. You see she use the black glove to burn the polaroid. 6. We may meet Eula family in Fontaine. Her constellation is Aphros Delos, Aphros means sea-foam , Delos is a location in greece. Reference to art piece "The Birth Of Venus". Eula could be embodiment of Aphrodite.
