I would slightly disagree with your assertion that the high budget way is the "right way" to do things. Even BTS had their low budget life in their early years. It all depends on what creative things you can do with what you have. I think BTS's creative, sincere low budget productions were a huge part of the charm that jumpstarted their careers.

They get nervous when they release new material because they never take ARMY for granted. In their head they know we will get behind and support them whatever they do but they never assume it will be a success , because they are humble and are always showing their love and hard work to us. Even the most famous of singers ,artists or actors get nervous before showing their work to the public. In BTS ‘s case it is important to them what ARMY think and to produce the best performance for us.

dynamite is actually the mv that probably has the most green screen cause they had to film inside due to the weather, still a great one though, dynamite was their first english single that came out in august

I recently saw a video of BTS meeting Madonna backstage and Namjoon said they were all nervous meeting her, and she asked them if they still get nervous when they perform and he said "of course"... Madonna said "it never ends".

One of their best MV Sets was for the Song "Fake Love". There is also a Behind the Scence Video, which show all of their physical sets. BTS mostly uses physical sets, which is always impressiv to see.

it’s not a gym. i believe it’s a specialised shooting warehouse. most kpop videos are done in these places where they build the entire set. it also helps with secrecy and paparazzi

If you do decided to check out Dynamite then I would suggest you watch their live performance of Dynamite on the Late Late Show with James Corden where BTS actually rented out an airplane hanger 😃 (although I'm pretty sure at this point Korean Air paid them to perform infront of their plane ✈ haha)

The 7 of them started off in a poor bankrupt company back then. Their work ethic is amazing, theyre so humble and intelligent. All the members contribute to songwriting, composing and producing. They always talk about growing and improving despite breaking so many records. All their previous albums deals with mental health, self love, self improvement, philosphy, art, literature and make social commentary. They are intelligent and their brotherhood is beyond wholesome. I love how supportive of each other they are and I love how they dont take themselves seriously. The leader of the group has an IQ of 148 and taught himself english by watching friends. His stage name is RM. Jimin-top contemporary dance student at his dance school, has a black belt in martial arts jungkook- main vocalist, good at everything V- vocalist, photographer, new to composing music Jin- university graduate in performing arts, graduate in 2017 while being in BTS, new to composing music Suga- rapper, songwriter, composer and producer. Won an award in korea for producing another artist's song. J-hope- top street dancer, producer, songwriter In 2019, the group scored their third one with Map of the Soul: Persona, sixth extended play, on the US Billboard 200 making them the first group since the Beatles in 1996 to have 3 number one albums in less than a year. BTS went through a lot of hardships to get where they are. They faced a lot of rejection even in their own country. Even after breaking out to mainstream western world, they still faced soooo many struggles. This is further explained by the channel celestex video called BTS from nobodies to legends and bts contribution to music. You have no idea how funny, humble and hardworking they are. Theyre so hardworking to the point they pass out and need oxygen tanks during the backstage of a lot of their performances Back when they first debuted, one of the members lied about being in a car accident because he thought he wouldnt be able to be with the group and perform. He only got his fixed last year. He was delivering food in the rain. He worked a lot of part time jobs to make ends meet. They are very versitile and NEVER STICK to ONE GENRE. They can make catchy bops, to hardcore hip pop, to jazzy vibes, to deep emotional songs to songs that just heals your soul lyrically and melodically. BTS stands for Beyond the Scene, started off as an acronym for “Bangtan Sonyeondan,” which translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts,” and means to “block out stereotypes, criticisms and expectations,”

I think Daechwita, from Agust D could be your next reaction. Because speaking of cinematography, it's not just well executed, but it also has a little story going on. So you could dive into the visuals and story telling. Agust D is a solo project from SUGA, one of the the BTS members. As they have behind the scenes for every MV, it would be a good idea to watch the video and later the backstage footage and check if you were fooled or not 😂

Suga, the one who was nervous, may have been nervous because this is his first MV production back after recovering from a Shoulder surgery to correct an injury he has had for over 8 years. He also has said he has anxiety and OCD…so I’m sure that adds extra pressure, but he did amazingly well 🤩

For most of other BTS official MVs, they have the shooting sketch too. Something that would blow your mind I think, not sure how much tech you’ve seen will be the production of BTS Fake Love. Best to watch the official MV and then do shooting sketch. You can post on in one vid so you can do a direct comparison. Maybe you can talk about how they could have done it better (don’t worry, this is where you are expected to know more than us fans) Another one you can take a look is Save Me. This has very minimal scene cuz it was done in ONE TAKE. So maybe watch BTS Save Me mv and then watch the supercameraman in the shooting sketch hehe

When J-Hope said that his high shoulders represent the confidence BTS has that's because, if I'm not mistaken, there's a saying in Korea that when one is confident the shoulders will get higher. When your confidence is through the roof, your shoulders can be as high as the sky.

Save Me is a one shot video and there is a behind the scenes for it as well. On: Kinetic Manifesto Coma Prima is shot on one location, includes the use of drones, and also has a behind the scenes. There is also another version of On. I believe there is a behind the scenes for that one as well.

The set is actually part of their own film studio in the new Hybe building, they have an entire floor dedicated to film sets only (and another one dedicated to the wardrobe, and another one is for dance studios, and 2 underground stories are a museum with a 28 feet tall wall where all BTS' tropies are exposed!) :-D

I have watched several of your videos about BTS. It is really nice to have your professional point of view. Glad that you can appreciate their creativity, talent, and that they are just great guys. Right now we are in the middle of Festa 2021. It is the eight year anniversary of their debut. 6/12/2013 was the date they first performed in front of an audience. There is a fan chant that will help you remember their names: Kim Namjoon (RM), Kim Seokjin (Jin, World Wide Handsome), Jung Seok (J-Hope), Min Yoongi (Suga, Agust D), Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung (V), and Jong Jungkook (JK, Kookie). Hi, some things about this boys. *Bts Is south Korean group, this days people prefer don't mix them with the term "kpop". Kpop isn't a genre, Kpop is an industry in Korea that create music for kids/adolescents, and not all singers/rappers/musicians in Korea are "kpop" 1. They are 7, 4 vocalist, 3 rappers (2 underground rappers) all dancers 2. Bts compose and produce in all their albums, so is very personal, they sing about mental health, politics, society, their fans, self love, etc 3. They have a story behind their videos so is difficult to new people understand, we (the armys) used to read and search to understand the link in their videos. Their last album for example was "map of the soul: 7" and is inspired by the psychologist book the map of the soul by Carl Jung. 4. The army love them because they are good people who started from a company in bankruptcy, and even being famous they stay humble. 5. They have a lot of genres but their base is very hiphop / rap. Also you can find subtitles in every possible language thanks to the fans, u only need to search with the name of the song or Activate cc. **Bts always present themselves as a Korean group, and always said they don't want to be labeled in a genre or industry. The fans also do not want to be mixed with kpopers, (most of us aren't kpop fans) we don't have the same ideals. Not because we like a group from korea that means we like all from that country.

I'v only watched 2 of your videos on BTS so far but I like your take on them. One of my fav videos is for Save Me. They have a making of the video and its very interesting because the actual video is all in one take. I'd watch the MV first and then do the behind the secenes to get the full effect. I will continue to watch move of your videos! Keep it up because BTS is worth it.

K-pop has a stigma of being nothing but green screen sets and BTS are known to use practical sets unless it's intentional like the MV for Idol. I enjoy these behind the scenes because you do see how hard they work and will view each take to see if anything can be improved. Even when they were from an almost broke company the MVs were excellent quality. It's true they didn't have the budget for crazy expensive branded clothing or huge dramatic sets but instead they sold it with solid vocals, rapping and dancing. Edit: spelling is hard.

This is probably redundant by now but, they share staff (provided by BigHit) including stylist, hairdressers, makeup, etc. though maybe by now they might have individuals assigned to them. That's a long way from the tiny company BigHit was when they debuted in 2013, on the verge of bankruptcy. You should check out their story. I liked your take on the production and hope to see more.
