My personal thoughts about the scene with them breaking out of the video in the end. They talked about meaning of this song in pre-release interview and mentioned korean term meaning "going maniac/being obsessed about something (like new hobby/interest/artist etc) out of the blue" (when it hits you like in a car accident). This also explains the title of the song and presence of police-skz in the video. Police-skz try to prevent this new obsession from happening, try to catch those feelings, but in the end they fail, cuz the love is so much stronger (it's a huge heart monster for a reason). Skz break the 4th fall, jump out of the mv, maybe to express that they're not just the picture on our screens, and there's nothing wrong with love between fans and artists - they're people just like us and there's no need to suppress those emotions (not the delulu ones, but yk, just genuine love and care) we have towards each other just because there's this screen between us. During their music show interviews they also mention that the video is about their love for stays, so i think it's kinda what they meant, I might be reaching tho.

I second this idea as the kids personal meaning. I also thought as a more general meaning, you can see it as their rational side trying to stop them from loosing themselves on those feelings. Like the first thing Felix said after being possessed by love (the wee heart) is "can I be your boyfriend?" (going crazy from the begging hence why the chicken slapped him) and Changbin called skz police. The rational side won and unplugged the heart but at the end they decided to go for it anyways and pursue those feelings in real life

Police represent brain and other represent heart. They have a conflict like heart is saying fall in love and go for it but brain is saying no you should not do such a silly thing. Busting of the video represents that heart finally won and they are going for their love interest i.e. their fandom Stays.

i'm glad you liked the video !! i saw a few comments from people saying they weren't impressed by this music video and it just shocked me so much. i feel like kpop fans in particular have become almost desensitized (?) to the creative editing and directing for music videos because this was simply /amazing/, just stock-full of transitions, sets, and a fun storyline... what more could you want?

I'm not attacking you, please don't think that. But I think that we (people) tend to care too much what others (especially strangers, worse non-experts) think about the things we like. We don't need anyone's validation for what we like. Honestly, my only concerns each comeback are: 1 - Does this look and sound like SKZ are still doing the music they like and enjoy? 2 - Will I like it? I want the first because I want them to feel fulfilled. I want the second because I want to enjoy the content. What anyone else thinks or feels is irrelevant to me.

I fell into kpop via skz video mid April 2022...I tried catching up...I watched this and was really annoyed and confused...too much happening...but eventually after watching a few times on my own and through different reactors eyes it made more sense and now I'm watching those reacting and makes me happy...it was too much in the beginning...now I truly embrace it :)

There's actually a lot of shining references if you look into it! But the main theme is that like the heart guys are skz being in love while the cops are like okay let's not and then at the end, they go back in time to change their view of love and let it take over them, allowing themselves to show their love for everyone and their fans by breaking out of the music video

The colors were kind of telling me that they were fighting whether they will let themselves fall in love or not. At first the contrast, but towards the end, the dark colors merge with the pastels and neons, somewhat telling that they have agreed to fall in love haha. Anyway, i love the analysis! i feel like this is the contrast between our brain/logic and our heart/feelings and how sometimes when you started to fall in love your heart is filled with this emotions and wants to go for it while your brain might be like hey hold up we've been hurt before, we gotta think for a second. so this shows the internal conflict we have as we fall in love, especially if we've been hurt before. them rewinding and coming to terms to just go for it is further more proven with them busting out of the screen like you know what instead of keep internalising this let's just go out there and see what happens, let's pursue this love thing amazing reaction as always by the way!! love it! excited for more SKZ reactions to come
