Legend has it Simon's Canon T3i is still recording B-roll somewhere. Awesome challenge from Nikon. It's crazy how after all that prep. that you've still got to go with your gut on some things. That's what makes filmmaking fun and stressful at the same time. Good luck with the project! I'm looking forward to seeing the commercial you'll have made on a serious budget.

2 weeks after we take a photo of a black hole, Simon gets a new camera. :-) Serious note: I've heard a lot of good things about the z6. I think it could be my next camera. And I'm still with the T5i!! :-D
@joshuaherron21905 жыл бұрын
Sammy B Films if you’re serious about film making id recommend getting a true cinema camera like the Pocket Cinema Camera 4k. If you really wanna buy a camera, this one a cheaper body. And for the price you’re gonna pay for the camera anyway, you may as well buy a camera that shoots RAW video so that you wont have to buy a new camera in the future. Otherwise you’ll beat yourself up for not having a camera with RAW capabilities. You’ll never say “it’s no RED camera” with the pocket 4k. Just trust the advice & pick the camera that shoots RAW video over the camera that still gives you h.264. Dont listen to all the stuff Nikon tells you about the Z6 being a “cinematic powerhouse.” They just want you to buy their camera. Edit: i just read in the description that Nikon is planning on including RAW in a future update. Woops!! Depending on whether it’s true RAW video codec, it would make the Z6 the cheapest full-frame RAW video camera!!

❤️❤️❤️ this project!!! Nikon Z system: I love everything about that body except single memory card slot. 2,000.00 body, I expect duo slot. I’m sure most people not everyone need duo card slot, congrats on your professional requirements👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. XQD card only is borderline deal breaker: billion dollars for 16gb xqd or under 50.00 for 128gb SD card.

First I thoght you would make a movie like we all did when we were young, no editing, just a camera. You have to record each shot perfectly for the first time, and record it in sequence. So out from the camera is the final movie. Anyway this is great too :D
