It would be great to see the results of expired film stock that was kept in a fridge, or even frozen for decades.

Here's an even older Plus-X stock that looks perfectly fine. It's all in the storage. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6eyk36ibclpebc

It is so surreal to see 21st century amenities like Mod Pizza, Fed EX and CineBistro look so... historic. The effects of expired film create a distorted feeling of rolling backwards through time

It's definitely got a little patina! The audio track with the reverb dog barking and winter wind is a good matchup. A film like this screams to be used filming something like an abandoned industrial site or a junkyard in wintertime. It has the perfect mood to capture loss or decay. Good video!

always enjoy watching your clips on old film - it's great knowing this isnt some effect and the real deal

I bought 3 Agfa 120 slide rolls back in 2020- they looked pretty similar, but the very last one I shot the markings from the backing paper imprinted on the image- while this didn't happen with the first two.

Hello! I have some 1977 Kodak Plus X 7276 ans Kodachrome 40 on my hands, storage conditions poor. I would like to shoot with my Bolex. You said you underexposed the film. Is this necessary when dealing with this type of material? How much underexposure are we talking?
@FilmPhotographyProject3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I would avoid shooting the Kodachrome (color developing defunct). The Plus-X shoot at 25 or 50 iso in broad sun. Best wishes, Mike

@@FilmPhotographyProject Hi Mike, thanks for your reply! I was planning on shooting with the K40 anyway and developing it as b&w negative. I´ve read it works if you are lucky. :-)

Would I be right to assume this was processed as a negative?
@michaelraso5 жыл бұрын
Yes, processed a neg.

Not sure what I like best, the post-apocalyptic look of it, old-timey but not, or the above ground subway noises. But generally it is kind of automatic art, under today's standards, the question is what to shoot that will lend itself to the look. Night of The Living Dead has been done, Ghoul School II The Reckoning? I reckon. The Vagina Monologues, the Countess Dracula edition?
