I know it's "just" an attempt to explain away evidence of sexual assault, but it makes me cringe whenever the murderer insists it was consensual sex. Kim's murder actually had a witness who drove up before her death supposedly who gave an account and descriptions of the men who seemed like they were holding a still-alive Kim hostage.

On Jan. 18, 2006, Columbus, Ohio, police homicide detectives announced that a DNA match had led them to arrest Jonathan J. Gravely, in Stephanie Hummer’s 1994 death. He also confessed to the crime.

Actually, Ms. Sobek had done several photo shoots with Rathbun before, presumably without incident. Another show on this case stated that other models knew that he spoke of her in a very hateful way. I cannot imagine why none of them told her.

IIRC this is the very first episode that shows clear non-blurred, non-pixelized forensic images of the actual dead body of a victim. Kinda shocking for some people, for sure.

Going out with strangers to a secluded or isolated places will cost you dearly. We see a lot of murder documentaries of similar crimes. Forensic files alone has 3 or more stories of Models getting killed by photographer's.
