I love the little detail they put into this film. Little things such as even being a not so young "little girl", whom Abigail is in fact a vampire, daughter of the very old and most notorious vampire lord the infamous Dracula, they still live with the fact that things have changed and progressed through many ages and centuries, they blend in and respect the societal norms whichever era had offered, and fit into human worlds like our society, and in this one, I noticed her using a smart phone and is living a normal life just like an ordinary girl trained as ballerina 🩰 which most of our girls do, even if she was no ordinary being. And bet she wouldn't have attacked anyone who doesn't present a threat to her, her father or her kind, which I find it quite refreshing and a beautiful little touch to highlight her being morally or at least ethically "civilized" in a way that she too has to live by a code of honor not to cross any boundary that might lead to possible conflicts or hostility, be it personal, political or diplomatic. In this one, she attacked her assailants knowing who they were and what they did or have had a dangerous enough capability to be a threat to; at least her if not her father. Secondly, Dracula might have walked this earth for centuries, seen countless battles and conflicts, and lived through the most dreadful times of men, having consummated with many mortals, or turned many into his own consorts, and fathered so many of his offsprings, he may not necessarily even recognize or even have the knowledge of most of their existence but a few (maybe?) And Abigail is one of his known offsprings but strangely didn't give her enough attention his little girl craved for, that was why she acted in a way to please him and hoping to get his love and trust. In my opinion, i find this refreshing new age horror comedy to be surprisingly well done and stunning, especially to Alisha's performance. Ballet Elegance + horrific demonic savagery, but in a classy manner is something we hadn't seen in a very long while, and this actually takes the cake in some cheesy way. Nice film!

I think these movie is similar to a movie called Whisper 2007! It about 5 kidnapper who took a boy for a ransom. But one by one died until one left. Because the boy didn't what he they seems to be. Here in these movie it's a girl who apparently a Ballerina Vampire.

I watched this whole recap and still have no idea WHY anything is happening and why I should root for ANYBODY at the end? Why is Abigail trying to save Joey from Frank? Why did Frank want to kill Joey? Why does Frank do anything he does? WTF is even happening? It's just nice to see Matthew Goode play a vampire again. Dude is good at it.

1. It's possible Abigail was actually touched by Joey's story about her son and/or she saw Frank as a legitimate threat and needed help. 2. Frank's an asshole and has been antagonistic toward Joey the whole movie. Frank saw Joey as a "bad mom" and "junkie." It's clear Dean wasn't the only sociopath in the group. 3. AGAIN, Frank's an asshole. Maybe he saw his newfound power as a way to be a bigger asshole

And the list goes on. I feel along as we can acknowledge these horrible characteristics and those issues when they come up in their work, then it’s possible to enjoy the work, and look at what was considered acceptable in the past. Enid blyton : racist and xenophobic, and that was during her lifetime she was called this Agatha Christie: racist, using racial stereotypes of her characters. Many/most of her characters are very 2D regardless of racial background too Rudyard Kipling: much of his work showed he believed in the white man’s superiority, particularly the British over all others. Also his work tried to justify the British Raj. And just generally talked down any people of colour Charles Dickens: compared Indian people to dogs. And wanted to kill all Indians after the Indian mutiny in mid-19th century Mark Twain: the n-word is used hundreds of times in his work Little House on the Prairie series and the view of native Americans Even look at Winston Churchill. He’s remembered for getting Britain through WWII, but when you look at other areas of his life, dear god. Dismissing any objections to gassing of the Kurds is just one problem I hope that we can look at their work and understand what was more commonly accepted discrimination, and watch how we have moved forward, and hopefully will continue to do so until these attitudes are truly a thing of the past. If we cancel every book written by these people then we cannot remember and learn from our past failings The ridicule and derision that JK Rowling is getting for her TERF outlook is deserved. But Harry Potter is still enjoyed by millions

Bites without blood turns you into a puppet. They killed Frank before Joey could turn / the bite healed, therefore she was fine. Sammy wasn’t because they didn’t kill Abigail before she healed.

Movie made no sense at all. The daughter wanted the dad's attention. Thus she went after all the guys that crossed her dad. Okay makes sense. She would lure them all to the mansion so she could play with them before eating them all. Okay... Still making sense. Thus she would stage a kidnapping every time to get them into that house.. Umm okay the story is starting to slip a bit. Girl stumble downstairs to see a pool of bodies as Abigail confirms none of them are special and she's been doing this for a very long time. Now this is where the story falls apart. Okay so the daughter has been doing this staged kidnapping for we don't know how long. Yet are we to believe the dad never freaked out any of those other times. Especially when he magically knew where she was being held captive this time? Especially since it was a 24 hrs time limit set on all of them. Meaning she knew she had 24 hrs to get back before her dad flipped out. Yet its clear the dad flipped out far before then. Yet since the dad turned the daughter you are saying within that time span he never could figure out where she was sooner given their vampire connection?. Especially when she's done this countless times before? He could not tell she was in danger far sooner? Also if she has a fast regeneration rate... How on Earth could that knockout drug even work on her? Her body would have flushed it out instantly. So many holes but it was still an entertaining watch if you shut you brain off to the minor/major details.
