Joe Bernthal is such a good Punisher. He just bellows rage and anger, his fights are well choreographed, people are hurt, people get tired, punches hurt. Much more brutal than Thomas Jane.

I honestly like all 3 of the Punishers. It's like the different varieties you get when you read the comics. Ray Stevenson looks the most comic book accurate, Thomas Jane is the most likeable, and Jon Bernthal has the most comic accurate portrayal and best story lines.

honestly... go seek out the short film Dirty Laundry, right here on KZbin. it's got Thomas Jane in it, but it's done by people not afraid to pull punches and get ugly, and he shines far brighter as this character in that than the feature length. they were also willing to let it slow burn, or the equivalent in their time window, before it delivers-- which makes the whole ending pop more.

I've grown up with Dolph Lundgren as Punisher and I really enjoyed Thomas Jane, especially laundry day, but Bernthals rage is unmatched. He isn't Ghost Rider but he is vengeance walking ❤ 💀❤

Amazing; at first I thought I would hate the constant commentary...but it's So concise and precise I found myself loving the whole thing, plus I particularly liked the gaps so I could hear & experience the fights ( Franks bestial roar! ) and the important pieces of dialogue... @Sgt.Wolfhart, this video about the Punisher is done in 60fps. The serie itself were of course done in 24fps. Maybe the editor had some sort of frame blending on in editing software? If you can't notice that, I can't help. I'm a professional and I can. The effect is quite the same with tv sets that _always_ have those frame blending settings on by default. You can of course, download this clip and check it frame by frame in any editing software or many video players.

i love the fact that the fights are real exactly like real fights. like when he tosses 70 pound girls like ragdolls. like when we have been choking on ilogic choreography, like harley quinn being able to go through dozens of goons without a single drop of blood on her, stunt men who throw themselves to achieve the stunt. it's ridiculous and acted out it looks like those seagal videos lmao. of course if a girl like. like the hitgirls at the bar, they put up a fight, but like in reality, a marine as powerful and motivated and has a thresh hold of pain that seems limitless, it's 100% realistic that he would knock them out with one punch of just grab them and throw them onto the wall. any man and 'woman' knows that. when he got punched you felt it yourself, the bones and just ruggedness of the fights is unmatched because you can feel every punch, bone, breaking and the blood is as it should be, everywhere. frank is drenched in blood in half the series or bruised. compare that to any mcu or even dceu mary sues. they punch a 200 pound man and we are supposed to believe she knocked him out cold when every woman knows if she got punched hard by a guy, she's lucky if she breaks her nose and jaw and unlucky if she goes to sleep. it's just real life. i don't believe than harley quinn, wonder woman, maayyybe black widow but since she's against trained women and men i also don't believe when they start throwing 200 pound men left and right when even the hardest one of them can't even take a slap. even frank is bruised 80% of the time lol. he's not batman, batman can go into 1000 fights and not have a drop of blood or even like trying to beat people (when bane broke him was HUGE) and Bernthal is a real man's man. he looks, acts, and is tough, he's got that primal rage that some men have, that shows in his eyes. i used to hate him from the walking dead but he IS the punisher

one of the only comic series I followed so heavily. Not because its the Punisher, but the fight scenes are fucking insane. Jon does an amazing job, the choreography for the fights are on par. Thats what drew me into THE BATMAN, the way Bruce goes up in that club like a sidescroller video game and starts whopping the shit outta the Penguins boys.

Love how the baddies always wait patiently to have their ass kicked one by one. It's 100% flick bullshit. You'd never see that in a real bar brawl / street fight, especially when knives are pulled. No matter if the opponents are untrained thugs: more often than not, they're ramped up on drugs, overexcited by the thought of spilling blood, an they have the number in their favor. Think of hyenas, and you have a good proxy. Conclusion: "Punisher" or not, bro'd be turned into ground meat in 30 seconds or so, after having thrown maybe a punch or two. I mean... I know that's just entertainment and people with certain background and experience will just take it as it is. My concern here is that some gullible, yet larger and larger, audience taking some posh martial arts training twice a week in a nice, air-conditioned gym might think that they can handle real-world fights just this way and make it out alive...
