exactly! exactly! that's the problem with the edgy and wannabe cool generation nowadays! We should learn to move on from the past. They think the current world is not perfect and can't be fixed and stay with the fixation for older times!!

Everyone! You can also add the retro wobble effect ~ Create a second adjustment layer but ONLY with wave warp effect (not noise) Wave type: Triangle Wave height: 5 Wave width: 500 Direction: 0 Wave speed: 2.5 Pinning: All Edges Please like this for visibility to others

You can do that "black video" by using adjustment layer and then add "crop" from effects. You can then select 10% on each side. Good luck!
@xshing46367 жыл бұрын
thanks its alot easier
@IamDProductions6 жыл бұрын
Tried it. It's actually this cropping factor. 1st Black Video-Left 90%-85% 2nd Black Video -Right 90%-85%

great tutorial! only thing is the overlay, when you use a video with a black background, you can change the blend mode to "screen" and it will take it away without doing much to the video while still keeping the text or image that is on the overlay, thanks for the video though! :)

for the 4:3 effect you can use a adjustment layer and add crop to it and adjust the left and right parts in crop

one more tip from me. instead of using black video for the black bar. you can use adjustment layer, and add a crop effect. you can just make the right and left option around 13 percent. and tadaaa

For the black bar part you can also import the video in 4:3 or download a 4:3 black bar png and put it on top of the video, it's more practical.
@dapperproductions7566 жыл бұрын
good tutorial. Helps me prepare for my next project! Quick Tip: Changing the canvas size is a much better way to adjust the aspect ratio, as it alters the actual clip, rather than adding artificial bars.
@cwright26575 жыл бұрын
if you're wanting 4:3, I think the effect sales itself better if you change the sequence settings to 1280x962 rather than adding the black video. Particularly because once it's uploaded to KZbin, there is a high chance for artifacts to generate in the black bar area of the video due to compression and connectivity. This has two primary benefits. 1: your video looks closer to having actually been shot on Hi-8 or DV because of 2: KZbin will automatically generate the black bars and auto-format to the orientation of a device (this generates black bars that are a true black, with no compression or artifacting because there is no "video" there). Aesthetically, in portrait mode on a phone the video will fill the screen up to the edges and in landscape it'll have the black bars. You can also do this with HD video for Instagram and the posts themselves will appear larger (think)

You could set the VHS video mode to Screen rather than dimishing opacity :) it gets rid of all dark colors and basically makes it transparent. Except if you want the clip to look a bit darker, I guess it's down to the taste!
@BenjaminScottfromFrance6 жыл бұрын
and DO NOT ADD BLACK BARS! just change the sequence settings to 4:3 if that's what you wanna do - and finally, if you do want the black bars, no need to create a Black Video file everytime, the same one can be used multiple times, same for adjustment layers.
