Repost: DEEWAR / The Day of the Jackal / The Trail of The Pink Panther Some scenes from the film Deewar (1975) which means Wall (The Wall of Hollywood and Bollywood). This is a nice film in which Amitabh drives a Red Datsun 1600 SSS, and has a nice Romantic song I'm Falling in Love with a Stranger with actress Parveen Babi (originally sung by Ursula Vase). Nice to see the very likeable Villian Madhanpuri after such a long time 🙂 There is a fight scene in which Amitabh is using a spade like a fly-swatter on flies. Also: Funky music with a bar scene and a panned shot of actor Amitabh Bachchan walking across The Wall with his big and broad side-burns and also actress Parveen Babhi with hers in the scene at the Bar. Amitabh was later to star in the film Don (1978) about a thief who can never get caught, in other words, an under-world "untouchable". I hope you can see what I am showing to you. Day of the jackal :  yet the last half of the scene has an assassination attempt that scene is so heavily influenced by the scene of the attempted assassination of General Charles De Gaulle, by the holy patriots who hated him for the planned withdrawal of French Colonialism in Algeria. The Trail of The Pink Panther :  in the beginning scene of Madhanpuri with a cigar and a hand gun is a copy of the scene in the pink Panther I think the trail of the pink Panther, in which police commissioner is smoking a cigar and he’s contemplating shooting himself in the head, so this is a copy of that scene.
