Ohhh. I totally need your master plan. I’ve been trying to think of one for myself and love yours so much. I just lack computer skills 😂

The idea came from @theplannerspot she has printable master plan inserts on her etsy page.

Hi Becca, I'm a hairdresser and have experience with autism and being careful and patient. Something is better than nothing is my motto. I always give it a try. I love your channel. So nice to see a functional planner system. I like your style.

Thank you for your kind words :) this is the one area we haven't figured out. And I think adding the routine of going somewhere he knows a some point it will end. I am so glad you enjoy my videos :) thank you for watching.

I have those Filofax dividers, and I put a sticky tab on the "tab" part of each one so that it sticks out further, if that makes sense! Highly recommend, the result was good enough for me

For our autistic son, before his haircut he went to the dalon with my husband so he coukd see what was going to happen. She put the clippers on his hand so he woukd know what it felt like. She did most of the cut woth scissors taking breaks if he needed it. And im sure this is frowned upon but his favorite candy is m&ms. The night before we would tell him he was going to see Miss Jo fir a haircut. On our way we stopped at the store and let him pick out his m&ms so it was like a routine. He also has a comfirt stuffed animal that came along. The candy and his Best Baby provided distraction for the cut. Hes older now but we go to a salon that has sensory appts where she has low lights and she lets him pick out the sounds he wants to listen to. We are the only customers in the salon. Its helped so much that he'll actually remind me to schedule his haircuts😂

If it helps, my *eldest was also very triggered by haircutting, when they were about 8 their best friend’s dad offered to take them along for their trip to the hairdresser, and they got offered hot chocolate and biscuits, and they LOVED IT * both kids are autistic

I think you're right. I have tried cutting my husband's hair first so he can watch and even let him use the trimmers. He will hold them and everything. But as soon as they turn to be used on his head, he bolts and screams. Maybe seeing another kid get his hair cut in person will help. I will try that. Thank you!
