So in London, we started visiting pandal, enjoyed poojo with Rabindrasangeet, Bengali Folklore song, khichuri prasad etc, and then went up to Garda floor, khichu, saboodana bada, bhakhri and guess what, I played Garba far better than my husband 😂❤. So I’m Tamilian and yes I do play garba and dandiya but we keep these things called golu (they are like dolls) and they tell stories about the gods and etc. So basically people come to our house and we explain the golu to them and they eat snacks like shundal (idk if that’s the right spelling) and payasam which is basically just kheer and finally we give them gifts.
