Yes, these filter systems are mainly designed for use in the kitchen. But it will reduce how much water flows out of your main faucet. So generally people have a second smaller faucet next to the big one just for filtered water to come out. If you wanna filter the water coming out of your main kitchen faucet and not slow it down you’ll need a bigger system that usually has larger diameter, pipes, and filters to keep the same amount of water coming out. So it’s not restricted like this one that has smaller diameter pipes.

How’s this filter different from refrigerator filters ?

Same thing! Or at least very similar! Our fridge doesn’t have a water dispenser though. Also, this is installed upstairs so we don’t have to go down to get clean food tasting water.
