Wow. Thanks man. Never would have thought the Mesa could sound so sweet. The Valeton is a great box. I got around the reverb issue by splitting my signal with a Lehle P-Split; one end to the daw, the other to a small combo with a big reverb pedal. Really hope you can squeeze out more of these great videos. Cheers!

So how I use the footswithches is according to this, I know a bit of dancing... It's a 'stomp mode'-thing... The lower four switches A to D: A - Something in the Pre block B - Dist/Fuzz and so on... C - Always a delay of some sort... D - Reverb! Multibutton... A&B - Noice reduction B&C - Drums (on or off) C&D - Equalizer Top row, from the left: 1 (bank down) - Set it to Bank, so you can navigate through your patches! 2 (bank up) - expression A->B: It will activate the wah pedal... 3 (Ctrl) - I use it for modulations part in your effects chain. Then long press as looper, no changes there!! 4 (Tap tempo, Tuner) - Leave it as it is, due to you want these parts! From my part I believe this is the best utilization of the switches, please tell me I'm wrong! The thing I really miss from Valeton is what their sister company, Hotone, has and that is to have your footswitches in different modes! Love to be able to have one switch to change like between stomp-mode and patch-mode... Otherwise how you can configure Valeton's switches is awesome! Any suggestions?

Hello Paul, love your videos. I'm just getting started with the valeton gp200, i want to use it for live gigging. In the manual i can't make out how to assign a factory patch or a self created one to the footswitches on the board. I would like to use say 3 or 4 soundpatches and combine them with a few stomps. So for example a clean sound, a lead sound and a ambient delay/chorus sound. And spice those up with boost and chorus or harmonizer pedal. I would like to learn how to set up this device to do so, by using only the device without the software. Grtz Bas from Holland

Thanks for the video. My process for my GP200LT (I also have the JR for the foot pedal) is to eliminate everything except dist and amp+cab, and make a set of presets just including those element. Then for each amp, I turn off the dist and search for the best implementation of the amp/cab selected. Once that is done, I top it off (or not) with the most compatible distortion. The Veleton is incredible for this. Only after that do I begin experimenting with reverb, chorus, etc.... YMMV

Hi I'm a 65 Y/o Disabled Veteran finally decided to learn Guitar, and am at the very beginning stages of learning, Acoustic guitar, although I do have a inexpensive Telecaster knock off to explore. I have a Gretch 9200 Boxcar Resonator, and a Epiphone Pro-1 Acoustic. I recently purchased a Gretch 5700 Electromatic Lap Steel because I love the sound from Hank William'sish tunes, to The Pink Floyd Gillmore Lap Steel sounds, and everything in between. Looking at different Multi Effects pedals to use with my Lap Steel and really like this one for its vast array of options. Greetings, thanks for sharing your knowledge. This is a great video. The playing a guitar sound great. What is the name of the Seymour Duncan pickups installed in the Strat. They sound great. Thanks again.

Also find the settings to enable alternate switching and dual switching of FX. Like enabling dst and dly whilst disabling rev for solo work. That sort of thing. Easier than hitting multiple to attain the same.

Hi Paul. I've got my gp200. Just made a start installing the gp200 software on my computer. When I switch on the gp200 and activate the software it takes a full 60 seconds to load up before I can use the software to control the device from the computer.. It also drops out sometimes after 20 seconds.. I'm trying a higher quality usb C cable.. Bit of a disappointing start.. Still got plenty of time to return it.. Best George..
@PaulBondMusic
@PaulBondMusic Жыл бұрын
I would say it will almost certainly be the cable. My software probably takes about 10-15 seconds to connect to the unit. Once it's connected, it's solid as a rock.

Paul I've changed to a quality usb C and it's stable. Takes 20 seconds to connect then loads in 2 - 3 seconds.. Good enough.. Much happier now.. Bit of a perfectionist here 😊

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Is the USB recording of the GP-200 not so great, or why do you record from XLR out with a 2nd device?
@PaulBondMusic
@PaulBondMusic 4 ай бұрын
The USB works absolutely fine, but it is stuck to only ONE sample rate (44.1), and I tend to run at 48. This creates a mis-match and creates issues. (I'm now wondering if they've updated this... I'll get back to you!).

Thank you so much - it means a lot. I'll give it my best shot... I only have a TELECASTER baritone that's about as low as I can get ATM - with a single coil pickup, it's not really relevant to what metal players would use, but I WILL do it!! 👺

Thank you for your kind words Gianluca. On this video, I was using the 'inbetween' strat sound... Bridge and Middle pickup together. Another Brick in The Wall sound! If you want to know WHICH model of Seymour Duncan pickups... I can't remember! They MIGHT have been 62 style pickups... It's been about 30 years since those Seymour Duncans went in!

I have been thinking of buy a Valeton GP200 ....you are doing a great job on the demo's. I wonder if I might ask for an opinion, am thinking of running it through a powerstation straight into a 1x 12 cab. Do you see any downside to this?
@PaulBondMusic
@PaulBondMusic 10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I actually DO see a downside to this! You see, the Valeton either needs to go straight into a mixing desk/PA or it needs to go into a FRFR cabinet. If you are not sure what they are, FRFR cabs are essentially little PA systems that look like a guitar cab. Presuming you are talking about a Freyette Powerstation, the Valeton doesn't need attenuating, and although it'll need amplyfying for gigging purposes, you don't want it going into a traditional guitar amp or guitar speaker. I hope to do a video about all this soon.

@@PaulBondMusic just want to update you briefly. I got the cab and power amp pedal. Hooked it all up and just played without altering any GP200 pre-sets. The volume and clarity is absolutely there, the sound is incredible. I can honestly say this is the best set up I have ever had. I would seriously recommend anyone looking for a cheap versatile rig to explore this.

Hello Paul, this comment will probably drive you potty but here goes, I purchased a valeton gp200 after watching several you tubes and thought it looked easy on screen and it does but have you anywhere in mind where I can go to to find out about what a multi effects unit can actually do and how to use it. I have come from playing an acoustic for many years and its about time I played with an electric one. I am an absolute beginner with effects and the user manual assumes some experience something I do not have. I can turn it on and plug it into guitar and amp but do not even know what a patch or IR is !! Most youtube vids show twiddling of knobs but nothing starting from scratch. You probably think this is a wind up but any guidance will be much appreciated. All you Valeton owners think good luck with that one Paul !!
