Hi, it’s the writer :) First, I wanted to say - thank you very much for filling my script! And second, wow, I was completely captivated by your performance! You did such a brilliant job of bringing this character to life. Admittedly, he was written to be an arrogant guy with a temper, but you made him so darn likable that I couldn’t help but smile. Right away, you captured the character’s frustration in those beginning lines. But, the way your tone slipped into condescension? Now, that was amazing. The condescending lilt in your tone, especially as you said the spicier lines, was definitely shiver-inducing. I also adored the tone of voice you used when the characters were in bed together; you had that mumbly, “I just woke up” tone that was very endearing. When your tone softened during the part when the speaker and the listener had their heartfelt conversation, I felt my heart melting. The way you carried affection in your tone was what sold me on the idea that the speaker and the listener could work as a couple. Beyond your tonal shifts, I was incredibly impressed by your articulation and pacing. Every word was spoken so clearly and fluidly, and you paced everything beautifully to allow the listener to “respond”, but you also kept the plot moving along. Finally, your use of sound effects was great! Thank you for including all of them; they made the listening experience more immersive. I really liked that you added in the ticking clock sound; that was a smart move on your part, and I kind of wished I had thought of that, haha. I truly enjoyed how you interpreted and portrayed this character; thank you so much for everything
