I almost got this vtol then I seen the heewing t1 vtol pnp and decided on that instead since the reviews say it flies smoother. Can't wait for Christmas! Lol

Just had my maiden flight. Very easy to fly in both Q-Stabilize and FBWA modes. Transitions are very smooth both ways. I'm planning to change the cruise mode to acro. If you add FPV, there are few options other than up front which screws up the CG so you'll require some counterweights at the tail. Quality is very good, just don't bother to install the nacelle covers. I'm planning to install my Caddx Vista on top of the canopy to get around the CG problem. The biggest problem right now is that there are ZERO spare parts available anywhere. I'd like to have a spare canopy so I can modify it for the Caddx Vista. Its an amazing plane at a great price but we need parts.

have fun buddy. I would rather 3D design and print the parts like i can design and print canopy that will have exact fittings and place for the systems i wanna use. unfortunately mine one day flew in thick trees, and after searching for hours and hours i could not find it. so mine is gone. i can't do anymore design work or 3d parts for it. i was planning to do many custom 3d printed parts for it.

so far no plans :) because the vertical take off is only for taking off and landing and then we switch and fly mostly in Forward flight mode

Hi Ali: Great video ii have my PNP with FC and GPS coiming in a few weeks, were did you get those lipo batteries you are using in this video, do you have a link you can share, all the lipo batteries i can find anything over 2200 MAH is too big for the battery compartment on the FIMI manta.

I love VTOLs. Have many of them. This is what the Eflite Convergence should have been. I'd like to buy this one (PNP with FC) but several questions come to mind. 1. Radiomaster is not that prevalent in Canada. I use Spektrum. What RX do I need to work this thing? Serial? Standard RX? 2. Will this thing work out of the box without FC programming as a VTOL only. I have no desire to do FPV or programmed flights or even long, endurance flights. 3. LiIon batteries are not that usual here for RC planes. Can this be flown with LiPos? 4. Is there a set of instructions included with this or is it one of those, "If you don't know how to set this up, you shouldn't be owning one" kind of models? You've been a great help to me for my FlyWing 450 adventure. Yes, I'll buy you a couple of coffees very soon. - "Ok Vad" on Facebook 😎

I am not sure what rx to use for spektrum. i have no idea for that. there is a way set sbus rx for this pnp ardupilot sbus but seems need some settings to change. i am using crossfire so it works like a charm. like real plug and play it works as vtol right out of box once you do right setup. there is a guide for how to program radio and which switches yes it can fly with lipo. make sure to set CG right or you will crash it because its a wing and in forward flight cg is most critical for wings i have no idea what is included in terms of user manuals. but fimi normally does a good job with manuals. still if you need any help you can email me. i can share my radio settings, ardu settings, and any questions you will have, i will try to help you out. thank you for your support. this is such a sweet vtol. i will be bringing it out again once i finish welding my electric paramotor trike. this is taking much time now. I am welding the new power combo frame today. puts out 62kg of thrust. and then will weld a small trike. I will design and 3d Print the wheels and many parts i plan to 3d print :) I may post that project in diy videos. then when I get time, i will bring this VTOL out for more flights and FPV

I have already made all the connections in the Vtol, but if I don't create the model in the radiomaster I can't deal with Mission Planner. Your wiring diagram is wrong. The UART TX is BLUE and goes to the edge of the receiver, the UART RX is WHITE. There is no yellow wire. Your actual wiring on your plane is correct, but your diagram is wrong.

I really look forward to watching this video. The aircraft appears to be very unique, and reminds me a little bit about the "Airwolf" helicopter from the TV series, and also a bit about the "Batman" TV series as well which featured a "Batcopter" aircraft. The characters in Batman TV show would sometimes also utilize a folding "grappling hook style" item that resembles "the plane" very closely. In any case I am very curious now about this "plane", and how much of a range that it has. if its designed for VTOLs, it should do the job of course. I am actually looking at SNL Fast FC. its super easy to setup using OSD only, supports QGCS and MP, and Y3 VTOL as well. Ardupilot is just way too complicated to understand LOL for an old man like me

The Speedybee wing can run Ardu Plane so you should be good for VTOL.

Hi Ali got another question, i have a radiomaster tx16s do i need a receiver to plug into the FC, i asked FIMI but they said all i need is a battery and the radio, i would assume u need a receiver to bind to the radio but naybe i am wrong. If i need one which ones are good to get.

you need sbus receiver to plug in, which is pretty complicated because you need to fiddle with ardupilot settings. most plug and play setup i found is to plug in a TBS Crossfire Nano sbus Rx, and then use TBS crossfire lite on my TX16s or boxer Edgetx. thats the easiest.
