I have the Osmo. I hate how gimpy it is with its accessories and the price you need to pay to get it all working. But once you get the over the higher price/prototypeness of the Osmo and factor in it does have the best image quality, as a video dude, it the only option to get. I'm happy I have it and I hope and pray they make one with a bigger sensor and include: 1" sensor with 10 bit HDR (they have the sensor) HDR screen (for how small it still would be) built in mic built in wifi built in control... but I can see how well it plays with other accessories so... removable battery SD card, not the micro And I might be dreaming... But what if this had interchangeable lenses... Small cute little ones. I'd love a small set of primes. Something wide (20mm), Something in between (30mm) and something with some reach (50mm). VND option would be nice too... If they can make this, this could be the ultimate semi pro run and gun camera that will do quite well at everything except low light. If they can make all this water resistant too would be a bonus.

Thank you for the reviews of all the DJI's Osmo Pocket "copies" )) I will say that, if you have the money - go for the DJI, and if you want something cheaper and not expensive as the DJI - go for the FIMI Palm, i think and i see that from all the three "copies" of DJI (Snoppa, FIMI, Feiyu), the FIMI Palm is the most balanced in terms of overall quality per price, out of those three ones.

Surprisingly Osmo pocket have nice natural colours. Fimi palm also looks great, but snoppa no, to digitally not naturally for me. If I wanted to buy and have enough money I would choose Osmo, but I will buy Fimi palm.

A good comparison - and I'm glad that you emphasise that they are alternatives rather than one being 'best' - it depends what the shot requires and your personal taste and budget. Tracking - it's important to know that there is a majot difference between Osmo Pocket face tracking and Fimi Palm face tracking. The Pocket will track the face that it first locks onto but if that face goes out of view, face tracking stops. The Palm will also lock onto the first face it detects, but if that face goes out of view, the face tracking function continues to operate, and it will lock on to the next face it detects. This could be another person in the frame, or it could be the first person if that person reappears and the Palm hasn't already locked onto someone else. So the Palm is great if you are working alone, and you go behind a tree, then step out again. But if other people are passing by, then results can be unpredicable. You can have endless fun by setting up the Palm in front of a TV showing something like a news channel, and it will continuously whip round in all directions, tracking whatever face happens to appear on the TV... if you have very little to do and lots of time to spare. It is also worth mentioning that the Pocket can track objects (not just faces) and the Palm cannot (at present - maybe they will implement that one day). Yes, the Palm has a joystick but it makes acoustic noise - clicks and creaks - so it's best not to use it when filming, which kind of reduces its usefulness somewhat. The Pocket has tilt angle controlled from the screen which is silent. It doesn't have pan control but just panning by turning the camera itself isn't too hard. You refer to the Osmo Action rather a lot... :)

I think it is way exaggerated to talk about DJI as it is cinematic. The only thing it does it lets you choose the shutter speed. But even here you have another issue. Either you work with short clips and you set it up manually or you let the automatic do the job. If you set it up to automatic then you will have another issue. This camera can only measure the light in a point. This means than any brightness change in the background (a window for example) will get very unpleasant change of exposure in your video destroying any "cinematic" effect.
