Cuz real story everything in the whole country back then belongs to the king even people life no one can't do anything at all.

Because going against the king could mean him, Puttan, his whole family might be punished. It’s the fault of the script that presents such a difficult challenge for Rid , then put it as Pudtarn being brave enough to fight for her love. Then wrote it as the king being reasonable enough to listen to her and allow Rid & Pudtarn to be together. If the king’s character was going to be written like that, Rid’s character should have been written as being the one to speak to the king about this. Then Rid wouldn’t have appeared to be such passive coward.

@@restlessly12 thank you, that was a great script analysis. That makes sense!

@@dramacraze2010Thanks. I have been frustrated by the way Rid has been written since at least the halfway point of the story.😅 And I heard this plot point (and a few others) did not exist in the original novel. I feel like the script adds unnecessary conflicts to make the story more dramatic, but rarely resolves them well. And in their resolution, Rid doesn’t play an active part. I don’t mind that Pudtarn was written to be so strong and brave. But why does the script seem to make it look like Rid doesn’t do anything? Now it even makes me wonder why Pudtarn would even love him still. I don’t even know if the production realized that they made Rid do nothing but sit around, mope and cry. He wasn’t even given dialogue to describe the struggle between him regarding this - being torn between the woman he loves and his loyalty towards the king. 🙁 a lot of this was the audience understanding the context of the period. It’s poor writing, and it’s frustrating to watch. I pity the actors.
