You have an incredible talent for something being complex and explaining it in a simple easy to understand way. Great content as always

Thank you, I appreciate the comment. Glad you are getting something out of it.

very helpful information Paul. I now wish I had 3D imaging as well as 2D. It certainly makes fish images much easier to interpret. I will, however, rearrange my Axiom sonar to display both high and low frequency images together as per your screen layout. Hopefully, this will help with better image interpretation.

Yes, I really like my 3D but you can get a lot from 2D once you master how to interpret it! Splitting the screen with high and low frequencies will help.

What's the length of your boat in meters? Will multiple fish finders interfere with each other?
@weFishAU23 күн бұрын
My boat is 6.2m. They won't interfere if they are operating on different frequencies. I have 4 transducers on my boat, B54, TM265LH, Humminbird, and a Cannon (for thei downrigger). The frequencies are far enough apart that I don't get any interference.

Battery voltage a tad low?
@weFishAU14 күн бұрын
No. Voltage on the bus sits around 14v when the engine is running, a bit over 12 when it is not. I have a Victron voltage controller between the battery and the sounders to smooth the supply and make sure the voltage is less than +/- 0.1 volts of the set point. It could probably be adjusted up a couple of tenths but since everything is working fine I leave well enough alone.
