Don't love the value shove, what else does he call with

He can easily call with worse pairs, esp on bricked rivers with all suited Ax and Kx in hero's 3b range. If villain is only calling with JQ+, then by your logic it means we get to shove here so very often.

@silentbovo1 I just prefer the check call, a lot of draws miss, give him the chance to bluff. Imo more made hands will call the overbet that not. Does he call with 9x? That's essentially what he's trying to get value from which may turn their hand into a bluff anyway

@@greigrussell6283 If villain was intended to bluff at all, he would have started on the flop in position. It's not an over-bet on the river, it's less than Pot sized. Also, good players always consider calling with pairs under top pair, even ace-highs, here, especially 3-handed, so yes, calling with a pair of nines here is common in villain's spot (you believed they don't call without JQ+, which means people should be calling with much less while playing past your local room low stakes). Your own logic even contradicts your idea to bluff: If you think Jamie doesn't get called by worse here, what better hands are you trying to fold out for less than a pot sized bet when you have 2nd pair (showdown value) in position after everything bricks? You need to watch more tournament streams or vlogs because you have a large misunderstanding of fundamentals (over-bet definition, calling ranges, purpose of bluffing, etc) and you need to see that no winning player is as tight as you are critiquing someone to do.
