The Denver Nuggets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 108-104. Nikola Jokic recorded 22 points (8-14 FG), 12 rebounds, and 7 assists for the Nuggets, while Jamal Murray added 22 points and 5 assists in the victory. Jaren Jackson Jr. tallied 21 points (9-12 FG), 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks for the Grizzlies. The Nuggets improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Grizzlies fall to 0-2.

On the last play, Jokic knows where Memphis wants to go with the ball and signals it to his teammates(plus it's no coincidence the spot Memphis wants is somewhere far from Jokic). And on the second to last play he effortlessly pokes the ball away. Yet people still want to say he's a bad defender. The stats say he's good for a reason. He just doesn't sit at the rim baiting for blocks because he is not someone who is hunting for highlights.

I am Jokic's biggest fan boy out there, but I am seriously concerned and quite frankly, disappointed about his conditioning. He delivered in the last playoffs the most dominant offensive performance ever and then returns out of shape. Is winning one title enough?
