The Portland Trail Blazers held on late to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks, 119-116, in Damian Lillard’s return to Portland. Anfernee Simons (24 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists) and Deandre Ayton (20 points, 11 rebounds) led the Blazers as they improve to 15-33. Giannis Antetokounmpo (27 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals) led Milwaukee as Damian Lillard (25 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists) and Khris Middleton (21 points, 8 assists) totaled 46 points for Milwaukee. The Bucks move to 32-16.

There should be no wild ending even possible with Bucks vs Blazers, yet here we are. Down one jacking up a three was probably not high IQ ball. Dame was cold so get the ball in GA's hands and let him get to the rim. Also feel like Brook is a bit jealous of Dame's addition, he isn't getting the looks like he did before, so he goes hero ball and tries to piss all over the homecoming. Even if Dame went 1 for 20 from 3pt the whole game, I'd still want him taking that last shot. I have my doubts about this team. Thought Bucks would be so much better but the chemistry is a long way from fluid, both ends of the court and it's late in the season for that, regardless of coaching changes.

Lillard and Middleton don't work well together. It seems like Kris wants to be the point guard and never passes back to Dame. Rivers needs to tell Kris give the ball to Lillard and score off open shots. You just can't have Lillard wide open behind 3-point line and never pass to him. Maybe Middleton should not start till he realizes he can't be hurting Lillard's game.

Offensively, well, Giannis, isn't part of the Milwaukee Buck's play down the stretch. He didn't have the ball at all on crucial situations. It's all pick and pop at the top of the key or those shots coming off screens and a ton of 3's. Defensively, there quite good in the perimeter... Let's see what they'll be after 10 -15 games under Coach Rivers.

The defensive move is called: "Blitz" - when 2 defenders switch simultaneously from one player to double-team another player, which exactly happened in min 6:51, and it worked nicely! The aim is either to get the steal or get a jump ball when defending: Blitz🏀
