32 roadster is very nicely done, I just love the back window!!

Car turned out great! The quick change is the stuff of hot rodder dreams (sooo expensive)! Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has 'em, but steelies all around and pie crusts would look great on the ride. Loved the walk thru of the Chavers rear window. Really adds to the look of the car! Can't wait to see what you get into next! Go LGKustoms, keep moving forward!

I totally agree on the wheel choice. Or some real chrome reversed rims with like a 2” white wall for that early 60’s look.

I feel your pain on doing the job twice. I can’t speak to Winters but it amazes how often I buy parts that arrive with no, or poorly written, instructions. A few hours of time at the word processor could save so much aggravation and money for the end user. Factor in the hourly cost to a professional shop and I suspect a redo can make the difference between a modest profit and a big loss. My condolences.

That’s looking great. I like the contrast of the shiny against the black. I’ve just got in from going to see big sandy and the fly right boys. In fact I’ve been greedy and went down to Brighton. to see them 05 07 24. And today 06 07 24 I went to Birmingham to see them again.really had a good time. And to top the weekend off. I’m going to see a friend tomorrow and there’s a car show on I think mostly classics. The post man came as well. Thanks so much the boys love there shirts. Take care and all the very best Tim.

38:32 Straight cut gears are always noisy, that's one of the reason rear end gears are helical cut so there is very little noise. Straight cut is a stronger gear vs helical.

Hi Lee love the build and love your channel. Looking at you re assembling the rear brakes I believe you may have the shoes on back to front. The shoe with the shortest lining should be at the front (10 + years working in a brake shop). I also love the build on your 35 sedan. Keep up the great videos.
@LGKustoms6 ай бұрын
I just put them back the way the manufacturer did, as I never removed the e-brake leaver from the shoe when I took them apart for chroming.
@anthonybulmer11986 ай бұрын
@@LGKustoms maybe they were assembled the wrong way originally, just an observation.

Straight cut gears, although stronger, are not used in gearboxes or differentials in modern cars because they are noisy . . . but crikey the car looks good, better if it had fenders
@LGKustoms6 ай бұрын
I like fenders on coupes and sedans, but never a roadster haha

@LGKustoms I'm thinking of the paint, Australian showgrounds and potholed roads need mudguards
@stephengent99746 ай бұрын
i don't think a bearing manufacturer would have such a big O ring off-set if it did not matter which way round it sits . Bad idea to chrome springs. The heating cycle used in chrome plating could soften the spring, so it would not be at the rate you think.
@LGKustoms6 ай бұрын
I’m assuming the bearings are also used in a different application where the o ring makes sense. But in this case, with the housing having a seal already, the o ring is kind of redundant. As far as the chrome springs, I’m not an expert of spring engineering, but I would think the company that makes and sells the springs (QA1) has taken the chrome process in to consideration, and if there was a problem they wouldn’t be selling them.

Lee what does winters recommend for gear lube and weight?
@LGKustoms6 ай бұрын
Naturally, they recommend Winters brand gear oil haha. They want a gear oil with Moly in it. Whatever moly is haha. We just got the winters oil, surprisingly it doesn’t have the usual gear oil stink, and it’s really gooey, like pancake syrup.
