Hi Alaina. The interview video about you and your grandmother appeared in my suggestions. Despite the interviewer’s self-absorption and supremely distracting camera handling, it was very enjoyable. No need to be nervous...you were the best part of that video, your work is outstanding, and your own video production is already much superior. Just talk and you’ll be great. Subscribed! I do some woodworking, and am familiar with maple, mahogany, etc. I understand how lamination contributes to strength. Yet I am amazed that wood props tolerate the stress. I’d love to see you talk about choosing your stock, grading it, dealing with grain, deciding where to take a blank from a board, and so on.

Hi Alaina, Just saw your interview. You were a delight but the KZbinr left a lot to be desired. Although you know much more about props than 95% of the pilots that use them to be cool, I haven't seen anybody ask if you are a pilot yourself? Thought maybe Grandpa might have left the old Crop Duster with you. If it was my family, one kid got the plane and another got the shop and another got the Tools. I love watching you work and wonder how often you realize what you are doing brings so much joy and happiness to the pilots that fly them. Besides being addicted to KZbin, I am also a collector of props; my favorite part of the airplane. A prop gives life and mobility to the airplane. It's the tendon that pulls the airplane forward by a few tiny bolts on a crankshaft. An engine turns gas into noise and gives direction to the propeller. but, A hand crafted propeller gives strength and living character to the nose of the plane. Most of my collection is Model/RC type props from 3" going all the way up to RPV/UAV/Ultralight sizes. And, now, I hope to have one of yours one day. I just need to decide the RPM of my drywall and if my wall needs speed or climb capability. :-)

A little suggestion: Use a ball-peen hammer on the stamps, not a carpenter's nail hammer. The reason is that the nail hammer's head is hardened and so is the stamp. This could cause the hammer or stamp to spark or chip off causing injury. Ball peen hammers are soft and won't spark or chip when striking a hardened object like the stamp.
