Take a look at Banjo's trailer again - no sign of a bridge to Gruntilda's lair on Spiral Mountain in the major panorama shot of the stage, but suddenly it's there whenever Banjo is the only visible fighter - and the only time Gruntilda is even shown in the trailer.

Everything about Banjo and Kazooie's inclusion in Smash was perfect. EXCEPT for the fact that this wasn't included in their song list. However, there's a small flourish of it in the Gobi's Valley remix. But, they said they wanted everything to seem more energetic, something to fit a battle. THIS IS THE FINAL BATTLE IN THE WHOLE GAME. I just dont get it. You listen to a subdued version of this theme throughout the entire game, then at the climax it becomes this huge, epic, sprawling battle theme. Even featuring interruptions by a banjo, very telling of the events the song is representing. Maybe it has something to do with it mostly being Teddy Bears Picnic, but either way, it's a shame this wasn't introduced to the people experiencing Banjo & Kazooie's characters & music for the first time.

Smash is rough for all to withstand, but the duo can surely understand. They're faced tougher, thats for sure, Nintendo has one more chance to make Smash pure. If the duo isn't in, it's quite bad, Steve will make Smash a fad.

@@xeronylloyd21 While it would be a surprise, I'm skeptical about that as it piles on even more work to be done. If Gruntilda was a stage boss like Metal Face, Yellow Devil, and Dark Emperor, that would be more than enough. Getting Banjo & Kazooie into Smash may have been easy to negotiate for, but it's still already a huge fucking leap. Banjo & Kazooie could fight the standard Master Hand... or possibly Galleom as a shout-out to Hag 1 or maybe Marx because of his insane snickering and dark background, like the top of Grunty's tower. Once Challenger Pack 3 arrives, we'd have to check its contents to see if that Final Battle music even exists as part of it.
