Taisuke is such a frustrating b-boy. He has so much potential but god damn his sets are always so short. He flopped in the first round of BC One Tokyo final because he was over confident and the same thing happened last year in Seoul (although he should have beaten Lilou anyway). I just wish he'd make his sets 10 seconds longer and he'd probably win most battles. I understand the he can be tired but he's a professional athlete and should be fitter than that.

Blond deserved the win. What are people talking about when they say Blond was just doing power moves. It's the other way around! Taisuke mostly did extremely short power move demonstrations while Blond mixed power moves with other unpredictable moves and transitions and adding flavor. In terms of style, Blond took this all the way. There just wasn't anything special about Taisuke's sets and he knew it. This was a clear win for Blond. If you watched the whole battle, Blond's sets were much more diverse than Taisuke.

I am not sure but at 3:22 before taisuke's round, it looked as if he told the DJ previously to play that track and that is why he killed the beat with such fast reflexes. It also looked like at that moment he gave a hand signal to the DJ to play that track.

It's actually quite obvious why Neguin would vote for Taisuke. Neguin is a big advocate of free-styling, Taisuke free-styles more than Blond, hence Neguin voted for Taisuke. It seems that there's Breakers on this thread that forget something, it's a dance and as such there has to be a subjective realm containing feeling, emotion, charisma, character, creativity and musicality among the objective realm of technique, structure, and formality in the movement. There's a reason why Taisuke is an "all-star", just because you've seen him over and over again, doesn't make him worse. You try coming up with new moves every new video. Taisuke is one of the best Breakers in the world not because he has crazy moves, but because he has the flow of a dancer, he meshes his (objective) moves in a different way with his unique flow (subjective). For me, the main difference between Blond and Taisuke is the subjective flow. Blond is more structured, and I love structure, but seeing someone with dope charisma is something else for me. I used to not like Taisuke as much because he repeats a lot of moves, but then I saw the charisma in his moves and now he's one of my favorite Breakers. Basically if you masked both of them, I would know it's Blond from his moves, and I would know it's Taisuke from his flow.

honestly if u watch taisuke run through till the final, he did earn it, he actually got new moves, he have been trying to top rock more but at the end we are all human and no one can speak for his position but himself, as a taisuke fan, i watch all of his old and new vids and honestly he have developed new sets in these new recent vids of him. The mans trying ppl. But blond did win. More full sets and variation but if u watch blond run through till the final, then he did repeat moves many times

Blond battled smart. 4th round: Taisuke brought the fire with his tapmill/2000 combo, thought he had that round in the bag, but Blond countered that with his own 2000 set. 5th round: Taisuke had some backrocks, Blond added one backrock at the end of the set but came up high to say "THIS is how a backrock is, man" Plus, Taisuke repeated too much. Again, 4th round 5th round, Taisuke did the exact same Halo>Chair>Headstand combo, but in his 4th round, did it quick and his headstand was sloppy, while in the 5th he dragged it out. Blond still had moves and combos to spare. I agree that Taisuke danced more to the music, but come on, his "dancing" wasn't amazingly musical and creative enough to outdo Blond's stamina, strategy, dynamics.

taisuke was smart when he emphasized on footwork- the one thing blond seems to lack. But when he turned on his 4th set into a short power set, that was what killed him. He gambled on Blond being tired and wanted to give him as little rest as possible, but i think he gambled wrong.
