Great game but very frustrating at times. It's very well made, and yes, the last fight is ALL about the rhythm. No Diablo suit needed but it does make the fight forgiving if you mess up.

For those who are struggling with the second phase, I highly recommend considering the chicken. Smaller hitbox, faster movement, and higher attack speed mean you can dodge the fire breath attacks easier and also break through the white shield super quickly. Then you switch back for the other shields and to dodge the slam attack, and of course to throw rocks at his dumb face. Also quick note, at least in the Gold edition, you're invulnerable while you're holding a rock, which may also help you dodge certain attacks, although I wouldn't rely on a rock being available when you need one.

@@Rhebes815 Been a while since I've played so maybe this is wrong, but if I recall correctly the skin he's using has that effect. Skins in this game aren't purely aesthetic.

It's rather annoying, but once you find the rhythm it's easy to beat.

This last boss fight... I thought it was impossible to do and struggled with it over a year (was playing it on my Vita) - I think I've tried it over 30 times, failing, trying it a week or two later and failing some more. But today... something clicked and I 'saw' the patterns and how you can (rather easily) predict and dodge his attacks. The green and red fireballs (3 double jumps), the firebeams (crossed and parallel) with a safe zone (for both) in the middle, the wide ray (just duck) and the smashing on the ground thing... And after 2 tries, I finally beat him 🙂

I personally find the first phase a little bit more difficult since i need a lot of time adjusting to the difficult boss after just smashing down the minions easily. As for the second phase, you might find these tips useful, pay attention to his movement and you can learn the next move, if he's about to smash then move away and time your double jump right after. If he's about to breath energy balls, just roll forward if you are far to him, then roll back, then forward to dodge all the balls. And the blasting lava wave is fairly easy to dodge since there are signs when he's about to breath it or command them from two side

The second part of the fight is quite easy I thought once you figure out what moves he's going to do. The first part was a bastard though.

calacas first part of the fight is random no rhythm nor rhyme or reason to any of that at all. the hit detection for him and his range of attacks really just kinda make him an annoyance and tacked with the fact you cant use goat fly, goat climb or essentially most any move that weve came accustomed to using to our advantage. He's just more of a troll boss and uninventive, sad really I think personally the trophies for this game are the only reason im playing it no offense to anyone who likes it, but its generic as hell and the trophies/achievements are really just kinda dumb most the stuff no one cares about unless your gonna sit on this game for awhile :/ (dunno why anyone would want to?)

Yeah, I feel about the same. It's a decent game at best. Only reason I'm playing it is because I love Metroidvania type of games. Good for maybe one play through. Definitely wouldn't have put my money on this shit, but to each his own...
