It feels like with every game Sonic deals with more dangerous godlike beings but Solaris is a whole other league compared to Time Eater or Dark Gaia, hell it required 3 super form hedgehogs to beat him. Makes me wonder how Eggman is even capable of manipulating some of them. My personal favorite has to be Finalhazard. The music, atmosphere and the things at stake just make it a fitting final boss before the more crazier villains started being introduced. My second pick is Metal Overlord. The fact Metal is so desperate to show his superiority over Sonic just cements him as the PERFECT rival for Sonic.

Man 20 years of 3d games and the fianl bosses are still pretty rough. I think Dark Gaia and Chaos do it the best by having more involved gameplay. The new Devil Doom fight also did a really good job at implementing the core gameplay into a boss fight.

I despise Dark Gaia because the gameplay was awful. It was hard to control the Gaia Colossus, the QTEs always pissed me off and the 2nd/3rd Sonic portion made me want to rage quit. Which is why I was glad we moved on from that garbage.

​@@P._diddy_disciple They ain't that bad honestly Sonic is still Sonic Shadow is at his peak Silver is a fantastic inclusion Mephiles being the peak villian Bosses with their own unique mechanics with those noice graphics And Eggman really works as a villian and he manages to be scary and creepy (And not just because of his design) The story was really great It just needs fixes mostly on parts where Eggman can help with mechs and fix Knuckles and Tails's characters And the gameplay itself I didn't even need to talk about And even the glitches and bugs can make the game even more fun You can also qualify this game as a unintentional horror game Where the humans are a uncanny valley The very very dark story and pieces of the soundtracks Not to mention Crisis City and Flame Core and I think I'll even mention Aquatic Base with the dark moments and the interesting music depending how you take it as well But Solaris, Mephiles, Iblis and Eggman Make the story very dark lol Solaris destroys everything and you get that music when you get the chaos emeralds And along the designs of humans Another piece of unintentional horror content is how empty the environments feel as well it can feel kinda eerie and it could make other people question what happened to everyone and you can make theories for that and the relationship of Sonic and Elise (I don't think they meant to make this creepy at all honestly something tells me their supposed to be just friends but unintentionally they made it uncomfortable which just adds the horror to this game lol) Sonic 06 is just a very interesting game and I won't change anything about it except for some things of course

The lack of polish, game-breaking bugs, issues in character movement, and frequent camera problems all add up fir a frustrating experience. But going back to the games “unintentional horror. The environments are empty environments and oddly designed humans. The sparse NPC interactions and barren cities makes the world feel lifeless, not eerie, which detracts from an immersive experience. A more fully realized city, populated with well-designed characters, could have done more to make players feel invested. Like Sonic Unleashed. Sonic 06 bosses are frustrating and straight up broken at times. Although some bosses in Sonic 06 introduce unique mechanics, others feel repetitive or tedious due to control issues and camera angles. Most notably, levels like Crisis City and Flame Core are too repetitive due to excessive obstacles and challenges that seem to favor frustration over fun. With better pacing and design adjustments, these levels could have been refined to feel challenging yet rewarding instead of exhausting. There was also some crazy missed Potential with villains. While Solaris, Mephiles, and Iblis add darker elements, they aren’t fully explored or developed, making them feel like missed opportunities. Eggman, despite his creepier portrayal, still suffers from an awkward transition into the game’s realistic visual style. This inconsistency may dilute the intended impact, making his character less compelling and more unsettling in a confusing way. But this is just my opinion tho

In regards to the traditional 3D games and the world ending bosses, the development over the years is chefs kiss, from mechanics to the music to the forms. SA1 was straight forward but the hype in a 3d super sonic and music, great start, super shadow and sonic with L&L brought even more hype, SH still my personal fav of nostalgia, the use of amped tails and knuckles, with the different spacing environment and use of a special move with WIMO, so good, everything kept getting better. Lastly, solaris with the instrumental of In This World, what a finale, but I still think The End takes the cake, truly felt like super sonic movement and throwing straight hands. Sonic really went ssj 2 gohan and the music still hyped it up, that last crazy glitch form was pinnacle ending cut scene. I cant wait for Sonic Movie 3. Edit: bonus for Metal Overlord, Metal Sonic getting the spotlight of final boss becuz in SH he worked outside of eggman, and his MO form, favorite Sonic Villain design by far for me, Solaris objectively cooler design overall

I think with Alf Layla aa layla Has potential to be a fantastic boss He is a challenging boss who can give you a fun challenge It sucks that with the controls it's a asshole I think Secret Rings is a underrated game like others Like Sonic and the Black Knight and Sonic 06 Which I think have fantastic potential if they were dome properly and had their tweaks
