You know our bus had the best bus driver and the best bus monitor they made our bus rides a lot of fun everybody left our boys monitor we loved him more than our the one that we had before we got our new bus I don't ride the bus anymore because I don't go to schoolwhich I am very happy because the school was so mean to me it was a school for special needs students and those teachers are cruel they didn't even like me they were actually quite rude to me but my bus driver in monitor were so nice to me to us because they know how to treat kids with special needs and it was my favorite kind of bus it was a wheelchair bound bus man we had a lot of fun

Actually it’s the drivers job to check the bus before leaving the bus yard! I’m a bus attendant

It's actually BOTH your responsibilities to make sure no child is on the bus, The bus is just the bus drivers or monitors It's both of yours, If a bus driver checks the bus and says No kids are on and 1 is left on you actually BOTH get fired for not checking.

Long, long ago, at my elementary school, the bus company for the district did a presentation for my class on school bus saftey. They had us tour an actual school bus, while the presenter went on with "don't stick your head out the window, blah blah blah". The bus they used for the presentation had harnesses for special needs students, a canvas deal with big shiny carbiner type buckles. I believe it buckled up at the back of the seat, so the person in the harness could not reach the buckles. I wanted to be buckled into it so bad, but I was too embarassed to ask in front of my peers. That was the only time I ever saw a school bus with those types of harnesses. If my regular school bus had 'em, I'm sure I would've thought of an excuse/way to wind up in a seat that had it so I would've been buckled up!
